Title: Movie Scale

This thread is to rate movies on a scale from 1-10. Then, when you rate the movie, we need to know -

The name of the movie
And, a short description of what the movie is about.  So, we get an idea of if you want to see that movie or not.

The scale should look like this-

1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10

And, when you rate the movie, high light the number you choose for your rate on the movie.
When you rate the movie, if you choose the number one, that means it is a horrible movie. If you choose number ten as your rate, that means it is a great movie. The scale increases, as 1 is the worst, and 10 is the best.

The Princess Bride( scale rate: 10)
Inception (scale rate: 9)
The Bourne Trilogy( scale rate: 9)
Memento( scale rate: 9 )
The Star Wars series( scale rate: 10 )

Its a Wonderful Life ( scale rate: 10 )
Singin in the Rain ( scale rate: 10 )
Toy story, 1,2,3,( scale rate: 9 )


2) Movies that you should not see ( scale rate: 1-4) --

Sleeping Beuty( scale rate: 1)






3)Movies that are Ok (scale rate: 5-8) -

Iron Man 2 ( scale rate: 6)
Red ( scale rate: 8 )






4) Debatable( scale rate: any with multiple opinions) -

Avatar( scale rate: 7,8,10  )
Beuty and the Beast( scale rate: 5, 1)
Snow White( scale rate: 3, 1)






As you rate the movies, I will make a list of what you rate with a good number in the movies you should see column, and I will list the bad movies you rate in the movies you should not see column .

Also, please tell us if it is already out on DVD, or if it is in Theaters! Thanks!

Iron Man 2 (DVD)
Rating:6
Good overall, but a plot that seemed a bit trumped up, and the missing epic of the first one caused it to lose a few points.

I have a hard time seeing the entire Star Wars series getting a 10.  Ep V or VI, maybe, but not when Eps I and IV are included.

I, II and III weren't that great.  (Though III had it's moments).  The original trilogy was better, but not amazing.

Beauty and the Beast is at least a 5. Snow White is at least a 3. I mean, who doesn't love Angry and Dopy?

A very humorous, actioned packed movie with only a few swear words (though they are emphancised more than usual).

Also, what happened to no R rated movies (especially ones with over 100 f words)?

I hadn't seen Memento in a long time, and for some reason I thought it was pg13. When I stop to think for a second its pretty obvious it would be R. Sorry :-*

The original trilogy was better, but not amazing.

They were in the 70's and 80's..... far ahead of their time.  ;)

It was amazing. I remember seeing the original back in 1977 as a 9-year-old. It was the first movie that I had ever seen in a cinema. All the other movies I had seen were at the Drive-In. I waited in line for hours..... twelve times! I couldn't get enough.

After each showing, my friends and I immediately grabbed a wrench and went to the nearest guy wire for a power line and banged on them to make the laser gun sounds.

Ahhhh..... sweet memories....  ;D

Lord of the Rings Trilogy (10, on DVD and maybe Blu-ray since I don't have/follow Blu-ray).

Highlights include gigantic epic battles, no language (that I remember, and that's wonderous considering it's a huge blockbuster), and AMAZING story line.

This movie has tons of comedic scenes and great action too. Even though it is dumbed down for Austin Powers. If you like comedy movies...this is it

LotR is miles better than Avatar. How dare you give them the same rating! Despite the lack of Bombadil and the Scourging of the Shire, it's still a perfect 10.

I agree. However, my father, a master actor, read all four books to me.  It was an incredible experience, and the movies were nothing compared to that.  I've got nothing to compare Avatar to.
