Motorola Droid

This week, my mom decided she wanted to get a Moto. Droid, and it was buy one get one free, so I got one too. I freaking love this thing so far, considering my old phone was a 5 year old flip phone...

Versus

Some things I love about it: It actually works as a phone *COUGH*iphone*COUGH*, it works better as a GPS than most dedicated GPS devices, easy web browsing on it, real keyboard to type on, decent camera, nice music player on it, I can play tower defense on it, Flash support will be added in the next OS update, it locks itself nicely when you're not using it (so you don't hit buttons while its in your pocket), beautiful screen, nice solid design....

Theres a lot I like about this phone. :D

So... does anyone else here have a Droid, or at least a phone that runs the Android OS? Also, what are some of the best apps you've found for it?

Is it better at defending off scary invaders (such as this lion -->  >:3) than a similarly sized rock? If so, I'm so getting one.

If you wanted you could put some Justine Beiber in the music player and blast that if you were being attacked. I know that'd scare me off.

I have the Samsung Moment (Which runs the Android OS).  1 app that is almost a staple would be the one called "TasKiller."  It allows you to end currently running tasks that aren't necessary and save your phone's memory for faster web browsing and better performance.  If you hit the "Back" or "Home" keys, whatever app you were using, continues to run and stinks **I originally used another word, but the auto-correct must have "censored" it with this one. So I'll use DRAINS** your memory & battery.  Once you download TasKiller, Long-press your home screen (i.e. hold you finger on the screen) until a few options show up such as "Add Widgets" or something similar.  Add TasKiller as a homescreen widget and then when you tap the icon, it "kills" all currently running tasks.  (Instead of ending each one individually).  Most apps have a rating on them, but I would definitely read the reviews first!

Here are a couple of interesting games: Abduction! , Air Control, and Paper Toss.

Hope that helps! I got my phone 3 weeks ago.  For now, I'm on the waiting list for the Evo 4, but since I think today is my last day to return my phone, I won't be able to exchange it after today.  Oh well, the Moment is still nice... and $150 cheaper.

Yeah, the guy at the store installed Advanced Task Killer to do the same thing.

Also, I currently have installed, besides the default stuff:
Flashlight
Robo Defense Free
Labyrinth Lite
Google Sky Map
Updated Maps to include navigation
The Weather Channel
AIM

Already made a custom ringtone and wallpaper for it.  ;D

Sweet... I just took a picture of my cat and made it my wallpaper.  Seeing as I don't have anyone else that I currently want to be the background of my phone : ) .  As for ringtones, my phone is 99.9% of the time on vibrate, so it doesn't matter.

I added a Mil Dot calculator (For ballistics) because I go shooting every once in awhile.  I'll update whenever I come across something interesting.

My ringtone is the line "magnets, how do they work?" x 10 from ICP's Miracles

(I don't recommend listening to that song. Its awful, boring, a terrible genre, and swears a lot. Thats just an awesome line)

I bought the Droid Incredible about a month ago.

Such a beautiful phone, I love it. The GPS is spot on, multi-tasking is simple and fast, and so much more.

Also, I'd spring for the full Robo Defense. I did, and have spent countless hours playing it.
