Mission accomplished

Once people realized that you could go back to old threads and + 1 or -1 people, the challenge for some was to make Colin the "Most Respected" member of the boards.

They have succeeded with hundreds of posts to spare.  ;)

So, who's next?

#1 - I think the "most respected" stat is probably not a great thing to have show up to begin with

#2 - It is possible that someone could first come to the forum and see that an think it was legit

#3 - At current, that person would think that the most respected person on a Christian message board was someone who was continually posting things that were contrary to the Bible and to orthodox Christian beliefs

#4 - I'm tired of the silliness of people who have nothing better to do with their lives than to try to mess with stuff on this forum (ie. spamming the shoutbox, running up encouragement, making Colin the "most respected, etc.)

#5 - What they think is a joke, could actually be harmful in misleading people who come to this forum.  Their short-sighted and selfish actions are offensive.

P.S.  I'll probably get -9000 for this post, but it needs to be said anyway.

Regarding your #1, I still think that the term "respected" should be changed to a different word. People don't usually + 1 out of respect. Instead (key Redemption word), people more often + 1 to simply say I agree with that statement or ruling, or they thought what was said was funny.

Perhaps we can just brainstorm ideas on what "respected" could be changed to that is a better fit.

Those stats have been removed from the forum stats page.  Additionally, all thumbs given to any of Colin's posts have been removed from the system.  Lastly, anyone who spams thumbs in this way in the future will be... dealt with.

People seem to forget that although the post votes are kept private on the boards (there is an option to display who voted for what), I have access to all the databases and it would take very little research to see what kind of nonsense is going on.
