Am I the only one who thinks living in a lava tube is a bad idea?

If I really wanted to live in a hole, I would go dig one down the street in the park. I don't need to travel to the moon to do that.

Well, it's not like there's actual lava in it. It's dried and inactive. According to the article, it's less than a football field deep anyway.

I, for one, would love to live in a hole on the moon.

Getting to the Moon -- 100 million dollars.
Supplies for a colony to live for at least a year -- 10 million dollars.
Saying you lived on the freaking moon for a whole year and came back safe -- Priceless.

That's what they thought about Mt. Saint Helens back in the 60's.  ;)

They built a colony inside of Mt. Saint Helens?  ;)
