We did an exegesis on this passage in my ancient and medieval philosophy class:

αθανατοι θνητοι θνητοι αθανατοι
ζωντες τον εκεινων θαvατοv τοv
δε εκεivωv βιοv τεθvεωτες
-Heraclitus

This passage and the definitions of the words were the only information we were given.

αθαvατοι: immortals
θvητοι: mortals
ζωvτες: (nominative pl.) living
τεθvεωτες: (nominative pl.) dying
θαvατοv: death
βιοv: life
εκειvωv: of them
τοv is an article
δε is a conjunction, essentially "and".
(note: in Greek, the verb "to be" is implicit with everything).

If you like a puzzle, take a shot at it.
The translation provides a logical puzzle that is even more fun.

Here's the transliteration, if you're interested:

athanatoi thnetoi thnetoi athanatoi
zontes ton ekeinon thanaton ton
de ekeinon bion tethneotes

(I already know the correct answer; I'm not making you guys do my homework or anything).

After getting a little help from my older brother, I think I figured it out...

I don't want to spoil it for you guys though, so I'm going to message Colin to see if I'm correct.

I'm not sure what kind of puzzle this is supposed to be...
