Well, i'm pretty much loyal to just my home team. The Ravens.

Speaking of which, how about them Ravens and the last minute win? I was in a state of disbelief when they nailed that final TD.... then Ray Lewis sealed the deal.

Also, I find it hysterical that Mcnabb just came strolling into his old hometown and handed his old team a loss. Thats just... Harsh.

Kind of reminds me of another former franchise QB who did the same thing last season while playing for a division rival...Hopefully he can repeat that performance this season.

My two favorite teams can almost always be summed up as follows:

The Vikings.
Whoever is playing the Packers.

Today, the Lions were my second favorite team, and despite doubling up the Pack in total yards and Time of Possession, they lost. Oh well.
Press 1 for more options.

These are my playoff predictions. They aren't my favorite teams.

Then with all due respect, you don't follow nearly enough football. That, or you really like the underdogs. The Cardinals are 2-2, The 49ers are 0-4. Both of them aren't getting into the playoffs, I hesitate to count both of them out only because the NFC West is even worse than the NFC East. The Bears were looking really solid, until last night. They play in the tough as nails NFC North, so I'm not sold on them with the weakness' that got exposed last night. The Packers have absolutely horrific special teams, that being said I agree with that pick. The Saints have not looked like the saints of last year - And the Falcons are playing lights out football, so that will be a tough race. The Cowboys are currently in last place in the NFC East, now that being said the NFC East is a horrific division. if Vick comes back quick from injury I like the Eagles to take the division, but I wont count the boys out just yet. You've also only mentioned one AFC team..... If these are your playoff predictions you're a little lopsided, you've got the wrong number of teams from each conference. I'll talk about the patriots tonight after the game in Miami.

Prof Alstad, I like your good choice in NFL teams.

I would say that undoubtedly the Vikings will be contending for a playoff spot and possibly the Super Bowl, but Favre didn't go to training camp, and now the Vikes are paying for it.

As for The M and hi123's picks, those are definitely NOT anywhere NEAR contenders for anything other than the worst teams. Or at best, 8-8 teams.

this is the year of the combacks in my opinion.
rams won, browns won, detroit had close calls but lost games so far.
this is the lions year to come back from the 2 year slump and to make something happen this year.
i can feel it in my gut!
Detroit to face new england on thanksgiving.
my prediction; Lions over Patriots.
detroit has had a shaky start but they will get better as the season goes on

my picks for the playoffs is Bears VS Packers for the NFC
and AFC it'll be decided between the Ravens and the Steelers

with the Ravens and Bears winning their championship games to make it to the superbowl.
in that superbowl, Ravens over Bears

Uh, did you watch the Bears last night? I mean the Giants set the record for most sacks in a half. They are not going to win anything with that kind of protection. This is also the same Giants defense that has not been that outstanding so far this year.

they have their bad games, carl.
just 1 bad loss is all it is.
doesn't hurt the bears' chances at making the playoffs

thats true, but it might hurt if Cutler's concussion keeps him out of action for any length of time

The Bears are terrible. Week 4 was more like what the rest of the season will be than weeks 1-3.

I tend to agree. Green Bay handed them the third game with the penalties and special teams mistakes. Dallas is just a horrific team, and I still don't like the Calvin Johnson non-touchdown pass call.

Especially since the Giants' defense is ranked 24th in points allowed per game... Though their YPG Allowed is ranked 3rd.
