Play Redemption with Heroes, Evil Characters, and Souls from the A/B Starter decks/original cards.

I don't know, but let's ask Ollie Williams:

"SAMPLE GAME!"

Thanks, Ollie.

What I usually do when I teach new people is to focus on the basic game mechanics first.  For the first game (and maybe the second game if they need it), I tell them to ignore all artifacts/sites/special abilities (except on Doms).  This way, then can get the basics of the game down before you throw the book of special abilities at them.  I've learned that that's the best way, for me, to teach others (since I only have e/f and g/h starter decks).

would probably be best if i took out arts and sites and have them play fbtn only games til their ready for special abilities on the normal cards

All we have been doing is giving new players a starter deck (G or H) and showing them what each card type is and how they interact with the game as a whole. Beyond that we will play a game with our hands face up and with the person asking as many questions as they want. I really think that the card mechanics are pretty easy to catch on to for most players but initiative is what seems most difficult to teach... We have taught over forty people using this system and it seems to have been working well!
