Tried this once, didn't care for the immediate feedback.

Thought we could thumb-up posts for quality instead of wasting time plus-one'ing replies.

Thumbs-down can be disabled so that people don't abuse it to flame posts into oblivion.

Not an extremely sophisticated feature on this software, so "yes, if you do this thing and set it to automatically do whatever and cook my lunch for me" is not an option.

Thoughts?

I think having a like and dislike feature for postswould be a nice addition.  I just don't think it should have a number like Karma, where a person is ranked up and down.

Hey,

I've noticed a decreased use of the +1 stuff on the parts of the board I follow, suggesting this is less needed than it was before when we tried it.  I still don't like the idea either way.
