1. Is it more adventageous for a new player to trade the random high end card drafted to get more cards? i-e I had a friend who pulled a Mayhem and traded is for crazy amounts of cards because she wasnt a high enough player to make a Mayhem worth it.

2. Is it wise to trade cards you would probably never use? For example, if I somehow came into posession of a Goliath I probably would trade/sell it because I have no desire to ever play it.

3. What kind of stock do you need available to make a trading thread worth it?

1.) Well, Mayhem is always worth it. But trading high end cards for lower-end but useful ones will help your deck more, but usually isn't worth it in regards to the value of your cards.

2.) Yes. There's no point in holding onto something you don't think you'll use unless it's not worth the effort to trade away or you're a collector.

3.) Doesn't really matter, just cards that people would be willing to trade for. Even a handful of mid-range ultra rares might gather interest, but you probably won't make too many trades if you only have commons and bad rares. There's no downside to posting it though, someone may want to trade. So it's worth a shot.

1. I would recommend it. Make sure you aren't getting ripped off...you should probably get more than Mayhem is worth depending on how many cards you're getting out of the deal, and what they are. If you're trading for tin/TexP/Di cards, yeah, you better be getting a lot of stuff. If it's just ultras, it would probably be pretty close, if the trade involved KoT or Lampy, etc.

2. Yeah. Especially with promos, as they generally drop value pretty quickly. It does depend on the person though. I like to switch decks a lot, so I need a little bit of everything so I can use whatever I want.

3. High end cards, useful cards, and a list of things you need.

For #3, check out a few of the current trade thread, and see what people want/have.

If you absolutely never want to play Goliath yeah it would be okay to trade him. But keep in mind he can be a really handy splash card.

Thanks for all the suggestions. They are really helpful.

Meh...there are just certain brigades and themes I feel more sentimental about
