Title: Has anyone tried this?
Post by: Wings of Music on April 08, 2012, 01:07:14 AM
Has anyone tried playing Redemption over skype?  If so how did it work out?

I just got skype (necessary for my new internshipesque job) and was wondering if I could use it to play redemption...

My favorite way to play Redemption online is to connect through RC Lobby, using RTS, and talking over Skype.  It's almost like being right in the same room :)

I've played with IRL cards over Skype (I detest RTS) and it works pretty well. You have to be patient with each other (you sometimes end up asking 4 times in a turn "what do you have in your territory again?" "do I have access to any of your souls?" etc.) but I enjoy the experience overall.

I'm unable to use RTS unfortunately...  *sigh* :(

Is there any chance that I could compete in ROOT over skype?

I know that everyone else uses RTS but it might be 1. an easy way for mac users to actually compete.  2. An interesting alternative to those who don't like the feel of RTS. 3. A way to give better real life experience since competitors would have to use cards they own and not just anything they want like on RTS.

Thanks for the info browarod, I'll remember to be extra patient.
