Today is the Passover, which was the last meal our Lord ate while in His physical, earthly form with His disciples. It is the night Almighty God delivered Israel from hard bondage in Egypt at a high price of the lives of the firstborn Egyptians. It is the night that those of us who chose to deny ourselves, take up our cross and to follow Jesus were delivered from spiritual bondage. It is the night Jesus helped us understand and fulfill the prophetic shadow picture of what God always intended Passover to be: the death of one innocent Man, the unblemished Passover Lamb, for the freedom of all who believe God's gracious and merciful method and message of hope and deliverance from captivity, so that those who believe could live as free men and women and to be restored to intimate communion, fellowship, relationship and everlasting life with our Father that was lost in the Garden of Eden.
Please take this time to remember, reflect and relive the joy of your salvation in Messiah Jesus. If you have not known the love of God and experienced salvation from guilt, shame and hopelessness, I encourage you to call upon Him this special night to experience, know and live your own personal Passover deliverance from the bondage of sin, and to finally know love, life and freedom in and through your loving Creator.
