Why did God put Dinosaur bones on Earth?

I would assume that God put dinosaurs on earth, not just their bones.

lol, i wanna know why God put human bones on this earth first. hahaha! i'm just messing with you.
Simple. Land was made before animals. Humans come from land. That is why human bones were first ;)

Why did God put Dragon bones on Earth?
Fixed. God didn't put bones anywhere, dragons died and left their bones (sometimes in large quantities, like during the flood).

I'm loving all these answers! The first time I heard this question, the first answer I got literally was "To test our faith".

Uh yeah he did. The flood was the perfect way to fossilize them.

No I didn't. He said God didn't put them there as a result of the flood. Or so it seems. His sentence makes no sense without punctuation.

I find a couple things bother some about this thread.   Not sure which one to go after first...

Why did God put Dragon bones on Earth?
Fixed. God didn't put bones anywhere, dragons died and left their bones (sometimes in large quantities, like during the flood).

LOL is this a joke?  Define the difference between a Dinosaur and a Dragon?  is there something I am missing?  1= mythylogical creature and 1= an extenct species?!?

and finally to stir the pot...

Why did God put Dinosaur bones on Earth?

Assumes something real disturbing about a particular view of God.  This statement assumes that Dinosaurs did not live, but God created the workd with fossilized bones in it to "trick" us into believing that there were huge animals that came before us....

I reject this view of God and find it extremely disturbing.  Seems like of the three choices, Lord, Liar or Lunatic...some of you prefer the third and not the first.

Why cant he be Lord of ALL creation?... just a thought.  flame away

1:Dragon was the word used in the KJV for dinosaur. 2:God(Elohim) created the dinosaurs we didn't make just the bones. 3:Are you guys crazy with some of those answers.

The word "dinosaur" wasn't used till the 1800's. The word used before that was "dragon."

A bit more illumination on the dinosaur-dragon issue: The word dinosaur is a relatively new one. It is currently the term used for a particular sub-class1 of animals (the large lizards), which we believe to be extinct. When we look back at the term "dragon" used in past writings, we deduce from the descriptions of such creatures that they are the same animals which we call "dinosaurs" today (or are at least related). The meaning of the word "dragon" has changed, and the term nowadays is associated with a rather particular kind of animal - one that contains a number of characteristics (wings(1), fire-breathing ability, etc.) which probably exist(ed) in dinosaurs, but most likely not all together in one animal. (If they ever did exist all in one animal, that animal would probably be classified as a dinosaur.) We consider this creature as mythological, but we should recognize that the term "dragon" at least used to have a much broader definition.

However, the word has changed meaning. If people start calling dinosaurs "dragons," I will have to start calling the weather in Minnesota "naughty." :P

1If you want to be particular to the large, wingless lizards, then the dinosaur classification is actually a super-order, but many call pterodactyls (and "dragons") dinosaurs, so I include them.

Why did God put Dinosaur bones on Earth?

To answer the original question, he put them on earth because Dinosaurs needed them for structural reasons, it wouldn't be very smart to make Dinosaurs without a good skeletal system.

Chemical chambers similar to those found in a bombardier beetle or redundant sound-making mechanisms? The former makes a lot more sense in my book.

He can be as nice as he wants to be. It doesn't change he is in jail for breaking one of the government's and Jesus' commands.

Obviously you don't know why he is in jail, he is in there cause he didn't pay his taxes. if you are going to say why a christian is in jail, tell people why he is. Depending on how you said it, you can make him sound like  murder, or what ever. in this case, just didn't pay his taxes. And in fact, he came to our church and happens to be a realy nice guy. funny as well.

did i not provide the link?  I didnt think I needed to tell you exactly why he was in jail since I provided the link..  That would be rather redundant in my opinion ...  And not paying taxes is a pretty big deal...one that in my opinion would likely disqualify him for the christian.  Someone who consciously dodges his tax responsibility yet professes the grace of christ is missing the point and does not understand grace.

But I digress, because even Mr. Hovind has the chance to be redeemed if he embraces the empty tomb.....which brings me to my final point..
