I don't think you understand... Golgotha is near untargetable with Caesarea Phillipi in play.  Correct me if I'm wrong, but currently Trumpet and Sword is the only one shot card that counters Caesarea Phillipi.

Benedictus.

I'm pretty sure a couple red cards negate sites, so that could work to an extent.

This is the way Lackey gave it to me. All hail the power of Lackey!

Well, another reason for the Gallows is that Haman's Plots are going to get rarer.  Pretty soon no one will want to rip a plot because those cards will not be printed and not as easy to find.  (I am saying this assuming that they don't reprint HP)

If they ever get to scarce, they'll get a reprint, just you wait and see.

I ripped one at Nats against Gabe. probably one of my most frustrating games ever. Rip a plot, don't draw NJ, rescue half the 2 liner, and lose 5-4.

... And the 2-liner causes yet another loss.

I've never lost a two player game where a Haman's Plot was ripped, for or against.

the speed decks (90% of decks that use Plot)
Perhaps this card was meant to change that.

I like this card a lot, not only for the anti-rip ability, but for the anti-ignore ability, which I agree should be really tough to get around on an evil fortress.

Hey,

I've never lost a two player game where a Haman's Plot was ripped, for or against.

I tore a plot against you at North Central Regionals in 2009 and proceeded to win the game.  Ultimately I didn't need to rip the plot, but I did rip it.

Well, another reason for the Gallows is that Haman's Plots are going to get rarer.  Pretty soon no one will want to rip a plot because those cards will not be printed and not as easy to find.  (I am saying this assuming that they don't reprint HP)

Less than 1000 plots have been torn in the 8 years it's been in print.  (That's actually a VERY generous estimate, I imagine the real number is actually less than 500.)  We don't know printing numbers for Patriarchs but based on the printing runs for the sets before it there are probably 15,000-30,000 Haman's Plots that were printed.

The effect of plots being torn won't realistically affect the availability of it for many, many years.

Tschow,
