It was confusing for me to begin with as well. One of the main networks is 'lfg on RTS' with password 'currently'. But, in my two online games, we have used different networks. Make sure that when you try to connect, you do it on the shortcut on your desktop and not on the logmein site. You should communicate with your opponent which network you will use and who will host etc...
Realize that I am not one of the more experienced players and need to learn a lot myself.
