Between all the Hollywood-connected strikes we've got that are draining billions, the expensive fires we just had, and the expected defense funding cuts by Obama's cronies, the Cal economy is already a bit shaky.  The recession isn't bugging it as mush as it would for other areas.  Also, four of the major Oil companies (Exxon, Chevron, Shell, Arco) have refineries within about 20 minutes' drive from my house, so the lower gas prices the other refineries get usually takes several days to make it to the areas serviced by our refineries.  That being said, I saw a station at 1.79 earlier this week in Long Beach...

Well... I haven't been paying much attention to gas stations so i would say it's at 1.75. (In Mankato MN)
