I wonder what all the people smugly driving around with "When Bush took office, gas was $1.46" bumper stickers must be thinking now.

A month ago, gas was 3.29 at our sheetz.

Now... it's 2.07.

In Carlisle, where Vicki's from, a half hour north of Ship, it's 1.84 or something like that.

As of over $2.39 just a couple of weeks ago. And over $3.00 not long before that.

YAY! ^.^

Well Schaef, they will simply attribute the "change" in gas prices to Obama, I thought it had something to do with a reduction in consumption and a stronger dollar tho.

Gas is under $2 now, from a bit over $4

I think the price is down because of fear. Obama is taking the helm in two months, Pickens has a new book out, Gore is on the stump again. It's a bad, bad time to be an oil producing country. If they can't make people forget that 70% of their fuel comes from people who hate America, then they have to make the fuel cheap enough that fewer people care that their SUV's tanks are filled at the same time as Al-Queda's Ak mags.

$1.99 in Orlando.

Frankly, I never thought I'd see less than $2 ever again. Usually when a threshold is reached, you never get to go back. With falling house prices and gas prices, there is actually hope for people like me to stay on budget and someday finally stop renting.

It's a significant drop for our family.  Gasoline budget during the price apex = $400/mo, and only $200/mo now.  That's $200 extra per month for groceries and clothes.   :)

I guess we better take advantage of it now while our taxes are still low.   ::)
