I will admit that UNC has a great team, a great coach, and a great history. However, they pale in comparison to KY. Not only do we have the most wins of all time (unlikely to be passed this year), but we also have 7 national championships. How many does UNC have?
Soon...Carolina will be considered the greatest b-ball program in all of history. (For the unbiased, us Carolina fans already consider it to be the greatest in history.)
With all due respect, I think UCLA has to fit into the "greatest" argument somehow since they have won 11 national championships.
Yeah, but those were all in a row. UNC has shown continued greatness. After all, anyone can get lucky for a decade or so.

Oh, well in that case, Kentucky gets disqualified as well, since four of their titles came from 1948-1958. UNC's roller-coaster greatness goes unchallenged.
Roller-coaster is a bit exaggerated. I think of it as sustained greatness. In my time on Earth, I can only remember 1....1 bad Carolina team. The other schools mentioned so far have had several. So in my mind, Carolina's greatness is unchallenged.
I don't hate UNC or IU in spite of them being big rivals for UK. They are both quality programs with a long history of greatness. The same can be said for Kansas, UCLA, and a few other schools. When it comes to hatred of a rival, I have to turn to Duke and Louisville
