Hey... Let's take a quick ride on the fun train. Where did you take your someone(s) on your first date together? Was it the repeated movies... the classic dinner... the fun minigolfing/ bowling... or something unique?

My wife and I had our first date at Straight Street in Lynchburg, Virginia while we were students at Liberty University. It was an inner city ministry for teens. My wife and I went with a mutual friend who was performing a live mini concert. Although we had fun playing ping pong, air hockey and billiards, the memory is more static because we spent the end of the evening as impromptu "counselors" after our friend gave a gospel message and several teens came forward.
My wife is a hottie.

My first real "date" was a youth group roller skating party.  My strongest memory was about my hands getting sweaty as we held hands and feeling nervous.  That relationship ended up not working out due to her family moving away and me being lousy at long-distance relationships :)

My first "date" with my wife was to see a play that a friend of mine was performing in.  My strongest memory was that the play was pretty lame, and our conversation was decent but not spectacular either.  Right after the play I had to go help out with moving some furniture, so we simply said good-evening, and both walked away thinking that might be our first and last date :)

I'm actually much more excited about my next "date".  We are planning on dropping off the kids this weekend, going out to eat, watching the new Star Trek movie, and then participating in the OH state Redemption Tournament :)

Which play was it.  I did drama at Asbury and I am wondering if I was in that play. lol (maybe I was the reason it was lame!)

My first date with my wife was also a play.  we went to the Arnoff Theatre in Cincinnati to see RENT.  That was an interesting play (If you have seen it you know what I am talking about)  but I wasn't really focused on the play.  I was enjoying the company.

That's a great question Matt.  Unfortunately, I don't remember what it was called or whether you were in it :(  Like I said, it wasn't very memorable.  The only person I remember being in was Stuart Grist.

I think I remember a couple plays you were in though.  One was a murder mystery (Hitchcock maybe) at Asbury, and the other was at the Lexington Opera House for a Junior/Senior event.  I remember liking both of those plays much better :)

My first girlfriend and I went to some railroad tracks with a bridge over a large river where we sat and talked.

I went rollerskating once as a first date; chaperoning my brother's first date with my date's little sister.

Coffee shops is usually my card of choice for people I haven't flirted much with. Happens quite often, as I have been single for a while (and loving it).

My favourite date I went on was with my friend Heather. Heather was the first girl I really had a crush on. I was the first guy she really had a crush on. This was about Freshman year. After graduation, I decided to ask her out on a date. Actually, I got talked into it by a rather flamboyant gay friend of hers (who had actually talked two other guys with crushes on her into asking her out as well, which I found out later). I showed up in a suit and he had picked out flowers to give her and to match the suit. Picking her up from work, we went to a coffee shop. My friend Nick was working in the coffee shop and I said something like, "so, guess why I'm dressed so nice?" and he said something like, "are you guys on a date?" to which I smiled and nodded. We sat outside. She had an apple, a cigarette, and a coke. About a dozen people from our school showed up and gave us a hard time. It was an amazing first date.

I asked her on a second, and she said yes, but things got in the way and we never went on it (which was mainly my fault).

There's a really awesome open-air theatre in downtown San Diego called The Old Globe, and my first date ever was there to see a showing of Hamlet. The performance was top notch, as always, and the girl could enjoy Shakespeare, so it worked out. My favourite date ever was the time I took a girl to the Torrey Pines State Park. You have to park down by the beach and walk up into the park itself, but once you get to the top there's a pretty huge maze of pathways that lead to bluffs overlooking the ocean; we found one of those and had a picnic at sunset. It's absolutely stunning up there. :)

I'm sure they're not that jealous, being that your mother probably had to drive you to any dates you may have had up to this point. ;)

I took a girl named Renee to Straw Hat pizza after a movie.  BTW, I have a sister named Julie.

My current best friend took a girl named Julie to Straw Hat pizza after a movie.  He has a sister named Renee.

We both had the large combo pizza (special name escapes me).  Our dates ate one piece while the two of us finished off the entire remaining pizza.

Both occurred in 1979.  Both occurred in California, one north and one south.

John and I are the same age, born two days apart.  Our sisters are the same age.  (But, no, we didn't date each other's sister.)

If you send me $1.00 I will send you a penny imprinted with our likenesses to put in your collection next to your Lincoln-Kennedy penny.

The first date my wife and I had was a double date with her sister Kim and her sister's fiance, Brian.  Kerry and I played a competitive game of mini-golf.  We tied.  We went out to dessert at Bob's Big Boy.

A few years later, my wife and I took my cousin and Brian's sister on their first date: mini-golf at the same place.  They played a competitive game.  They tied.  A few years later, they tied the knot, too.  :)

never dated, not because I couldn't get one, but because I don't want one.

and I can even drive! I own a convertible! (ok, so it's a 1990 Chrysler LeBaron, with a garage paint job and two windows that don't work...) but no girl friends (actually, dating, just about my closest 3 friends are girls, though, 1 or 2 are my cousins...) for me!

and I'm only posting this to crank up my post count

well, I don't know quite where I'd rate Kenna, as she's karazy (able to compete with the TKP) awesome, but we aren't close. but she could be up on the list...

so we'll say my top 4 closest friends are girls, 2 being my cousins.
