Apparently light is no longer the cosmic speed limit. This could change a LOT of what we know about astronomy, or science in general.

And, they tested it 15,000 times, I think its safe to say they're right. 

This.  All of this.  I'll start caring about reporting on scientific developments when they're written by actual scientists, not interns with journalism degrees.

It won't change very much, if anything it will just move some theoretical things into the realm of possible (as in Tachyons).  Assuming that this is indeed correct.

All existing science will still work in most cases, relativity still works, quantum mechanics still works, astronomy probably won't change all that much (maybe a little when we start using neutrino telescopes although most neutrinos are known to not be going faster than the speed of light)

Even at that speed God can still play catch with himself.

No wonder he's trying so hard to save us.  He must be pretty bored up there.
