Well, having a personal bias against the characters prevents you from making an objective analysis of the play.
I read the play just like everyone else. I had no pre-conceived notions of what Romeo was like until I read his thoughts, words, and deeds. Then based on that, I decided that I didn't care about his character. My ability to critique the thoughts, words, and deeds of a literary character has nothing to do with my ability to analyze the play objectively. In fact character criticism is part of objective analysis of literature.
My analysis is just as objective as the next person. But thanks anyway for trying to move the discussion away from the lameness of the play to the personal attack of my objectivity
