right now im trying to calibrate the tv properly...after doing extensive research on the internet, apparantly a new plasma tv owner has to 'break it in'...using low contrast and brightness settings for the first 100 hours or so. i dont know. do any current plasma owners have any advise with this?

To make matters worse, MKC, Panasonic recommends you do not play video games on the plasma TV until after break in is complete.

that is insane.
i wonder why they suggest that...i think as long as i keep my contrast and brightness settings low, i'll be ok...right?
This does raise interesting questions about possible ulterior motives on the part of MKC's girlfriend.
i just noticed you linked from the avs forums, which i've been perusing all day, reading up on how to break-in my plasma. they have some people on there that really know their stuff.
