There is an amazing library here in Houston, Texas called the Lanier Theological Library which hosts free lectures and panel discussions which are led by some distinguished minds of our day. This last Friday I was able to hear N.T. Wright first defend his book, "Paul: A Biography" after a panel of other theologians critiqued it and, then later in the evening, heard him speak about the resurrection. All in all a very good experience that was spiritually uplifting and encouraging. The highlight of the day was when after the early panel discussion I approached N.T. Wright and presented to him the Paul promo card and asked for his autograph on it. He looked at what I was handing to him and asked what it was. I quickly explained that Redemption is a Bible based collectible card game. He then shook his head, in what I can only imagine was a combination of disbelief and confusion, and signed my card. This newly penned Paul card will be making an appearance in my main deck this tournament season whether he fits in it or not. It is not often that my theology nerd and my gaming nerd get to cross paths in such a powerful way like this. Anyway, of all people, I thought y'all might be able to appreciate this moment.
