An unanswered question is infinitely better than an unquestioned answer.

Does anyone else have Kentucky pop into their heads when they see it???

blue to white???

UK for sure!
As much as it would be super cool for this to reflect UK, I think it is more along the lines of the traditional colors of the Jewish flag/cloths.

Uniting God's people (Jews) with the Blue Devils (Duke)....that reminds me of 1 Corinthians 6:15

I'm sorry about Christian Laettner. The scars will heal eventually.

Coming from behind to beat Duke on our way to the '98 championship sure helped a lot.  Watching CL's long-term career of nothing in the NBA also helped some.  ESPN showing "the shot" for the last 18 years ad nauseum has NOT helped.

You're probably right, that eventually we'll get to a place of healing.  But they'll still be Blue Devils :)

Interesting fact: Laettner did not miss a single shot that game. Foul shot or field goal. It was a truly great performance before the shot.

Another interesting fact:  During the game one of UK's players (Aminu Timberlake, I think) had fallen to the floor and CL walked over and stepped on his chest.  If Timberlake (who was an insignificant player on that UK team) had simply stood up and punched CL, they both would've likely been kicked out of the game.  In that case, UK would've almost certainly ended up winning the game.

However, Timberlake showed maturity and restraint.  The refs were blind and didn't see what CL did.  And the rest is history.

Now, now. We all know that the second guy gets the foul (or flag in the NFL), and the first guy walks away smiling. If Timberlake got thrown out and CL got nothing, you would be even more bitter than you are now.  ;)

Actually I guess I remembered it wrong.  The refs weren't blind.  They did give CL a technical foul.  Considering that, it still seems to me that if it escalated into a fist fight that both players would've been kicked out of the game.

Call me slow, but I just realized that this would make up a part of the contents of Disciples packs when I read the description on the Cactus webpage, so I wanted to comment on the issue.

Although I prefer Warriors cards, Angel Wars commons are probably the hardest cards for Cactus to get rid of (maybe besides Unlimited commons), so I understand them throwing some in with a pack full of awesome cards. That's just good business. Besides, I'm fine with seeing some extra Intent to Kills, Lurkings, Threatened Liveses, Spiritual Warfares, Morgans, Twice Afflicteds, and I Ams scattered around. Also, if "rares" includes ultra rares, a Michael and a Torment or two might incite a few giggles of glee for some lucky kids. Not all AW cards are awful, and you still have a bunch of awesome cards in the pack, so take the good with the bad.

4 Disciples cards

4 Apostles mostly rare or ultra rare cards

4 Patriarchs mostly rare or ultra rare cards

3 Angel Wars common and/or rare cards
Being that the other specified "Ultra" i dont think there's gonna being any AW UR's

I would rather get the AW lost souls.  I bought/traded for 26 AW packs at my last tournament, and I didn't get one Ultra Rare or AW lost soul!  Of course the new member in our group won three packs, chose one AW, and got the first round lost soul(one of the two I was looking for).  I traded all of the AW cards I got that tournament just for that one pack  :P
Don't buy Angel Wars!

"rares" includes ultra-rares.  Angel Wars rares and ultra-rares are printed on the same sheet, and they are all in the mix, along with all the cards from the common sheet.

You're probably right, that eventually we'll get to a place of healing.  But they'll still be Blue Devils :)

I find it sooo interesting that a UK fan is still simpering over a game they werent even expected to be in at that time.  That UK team was overmatched.  They played their heart out but they really did not have what it took to be national champions that year.

anyway, doesn't UK have enough wins and titles to ease the pain of a loss that really should have been a matter of fact anyway?

Well, I guess you will have fewer wins after Calapari bails and the NCAA investiates his recruiting violations, I suppose it is good that UK did not win it all this year anyway since they would have to vacate this championship in the end  ;)
