My point is that Shaq is useless on a quick paced team. He is a detriment to the team and would give little to no statistical support. Russell at least provides the potential to be able to play midrange, under the hoop, and the fast break adequately. Shaq can only play under the hoop, albeit perhaps slightly better than Russell. However, when you look at the scope of the team, Russell is much, much better to have on the large majority of teams. Unless you plan on building the entire team aroudn Shaq(which is ridiculous to assert on a dream team), Russell provides better support to the inevitable playstyle most dream teams will be pursuing.
