...Aren't you usually a big proponent of Redemption board members being careful to not hurt others on the boards, especially disadvantaged, marginalized, or discriminated groups?  I don't understand how publicly mocking another board member who literally started posting this week is not doing the exact same thing.

What if instead of posting that he laughed at this, he never came back and wrote off Redemption because he felt like the atmosphere here was elitist and uninclusive?

What if he had an original unopened unlimited storefront display box for sale?

During your rescue attempt if your opponent plays less cards than you, rescue a lost soul. If blocking, take no less than your asking price regardless of any offer. Cannot be negated.

I will admit, this thought crossed my mind, and I was keeping a close eye on this thread. I did not see the post as mocking, but rather as a way to inject a little humor into a recent discussion. I'm certainly glad SEB did not take a light-hearted joke as a personal attack (as others have done in the past--myself included from time to time) because I don't believe that was Daniel's intent. That being said, it is a good reminder to always consider how others might perceive our posts regardless of our intent--particularly when a person is newer to the community.

...And if the player that tried to sell that comes back, wants to genuinely relearn the game and wishes he/she could go back in time and never have made those posts, what is he/she going to find?

A bunch of posts like this.

Making some people laugh at the expense of others is never acceptable.  Ever.  No matter how horrible you judge the person to be, no matter how much you dislike them.  There's no excuse.

I don't think Daniel was genuinely trying to personally attack or hurt anyone either.  But that's not my point.  If something could be perceived as a personal attack, then I'd say it has easily crossed the line into "We shouldn't be posting this ever" territory.

Tbf just about anything, especially funny things, can be construed into personal attacks. It's an awful way to spend a marriage

I genuinely hope SEB didn’t think my joke was at his expense. When I realized that SEB’s title for his topic was based off a real bible verse (the one I used on the card), the comparison between Cactus recycling artwork on cards and the Israelites being forced to make more bricks with less straw was hilarious to me, and I consider that to be the joke. I've reached out to SEB privately.

I'm glad to have SEB on the boards and would be extremely disappointed if he felt unwelcome here because of me.

Well, the most ironic part is I caused a fuss when it wasnt even my post! /flex

It is good to be careful, but I think Daniel kept it clearly above the belt. When the joke turns to mockery or vindictive, it is a device of the enemy for sure! Humor when used correctly brings happiness, but it can isolate as well; it can be a gray area for sure . . .

Megadesk should be given the identifier "Generic if held on Megadesk".  That would allow Megadesk to hold copies of itself in T2.

That's actually my role on the Boards...  ;)  Don't be fooled by his screen name. He's more like the "Guardian" on Breath of the Wild or Minecraft:o

Making some people laugh at the expense of others is never acceptable.

Most of this thread falls into that category. I think that at some point we have to learn to laugh at ourselves when we figure out we were in the wrong, or something we did was funny in retrospect. I've never met Eric Largent, but I'm pretty sure he was the inspiration for the "Honey, where are my pants?" show on the Lego Movie.

With that in mind, I had thought about creating a card for this thread. I was going to use the original image for the reprinted Christian Soldier (the one with the dark Crusader), and title it "I See Dead People"   8)

My wife is a hottie.
