I was just wandering if there are any other fellow comic book fanatics that also play redemption. If there are than you just might be my long lost brother. I collect comics every week, and I just wanted to know if I am all alone in my fantasy land

I used to collect some, nothing to worth mentioning though...Some Batman series is the only major one...and of Course Archangels...wish there was another series of them out....Still like comics, and think its bout time there have been good movies based on them out.

Yeah, since Marvel took over their movies with Marvel Studios the quality has been through the roof. The reason why Wolverine Origins wasn't as good is because Marvel did not have the rights to make the movie, Fox did.

I'm kinda surprised there haven't Been more DC Hero films. Mainly cause of their popularity and Warner Brothers owns DC comics. Like there was a couple of Batman movies, a superman movie, and the Watchmen...wheres Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, Captian Marvel, or even Martian Manhunter? Ok, so I heard Captian Marvel is allegedly in the works. I think its uncool that DC hasn't gone at making superhero movies as much as Marvel has...but thats just my 2 cents.

To be frank, most of the existing DC films are the reason that there haven't been more DC films.

The one genuinely good franchise they have going right now is Batman, and you have the star power of Christian Bale and the directorial genius of Christopher Nolan.  Superman Returns was a dud; Kevin Spacey saved that movie from itself.  If you can't make a thoroughly awesome film using the undisputed champion of your comic universe, you need to seriously rethink your strategy.

With that said, they are making a Green Lantern film (more importantly, a HAL JORDAN Lantern), which makes me very happy, because along with Batman, he is my favorite.  Even better, they dumped the old idea of making it a Mask-like farce with Jack Black, and are focusing on a serious film directed by... Martin Campbell, of Zorro, Goldeneye and Casino Royale fame.  My excitement for this movie just skyrocketed.

IDK...The Superman movies with Christopher Reeves from back in the day, were pretty descent, if not pretty good. But yeah, Superman returns wasn't all that. DC has had some success with its cartoons, Like how many Batman cartoons have there been in the past decade or so? The Justice League (unlimited), Superman, Legion of Superheroes...guess what I'm trying to say is that there has been some success with DC and TV, and would like to see them give a movie or so a try.

Yeah, but we're talking 30 years gone, now.  The first two were great, the third and fourth... eh, not so much.  Same with the old Batman movies.

I do agree that their cartoon series have been quite good.  I'm enjoying the Brave and the Bold stuff on Cartoon Network now, where they mix and match Batman with all kinds of heroes.  They even brought in some of the more popular members of the Green Lantern Corps once.  :D

I still read and collect comics, but I only follow certain series. Mostly the ones that go along with the story of a video game. Like the Halo Uprising series and the Gears of War Series.

As much as I would LOVE to see them as movies, unless it is well done, it would be a desastor.

I used to always buy the Spider-Man comics when they came out, but that was over 30 years ago. I was very excited that Spider-Man became the great movie series that it is now. Tobey Maguire was an excellent choice to play the part. Before him, I had to be stuck with the memory of the Spider-Man TV movie with Parker Stevensen.

AMEN! Yay for Captain American and Thor coming out soon!

I've read a lot of the old spiderman and original avengers comics. I never collected them or anything, but I really loved reading them, especially avengers.

X-men were decent, loved spiderman, loved iron man, and loved all the other marvel movies that came out. Marvel so far has definitely beaten DC (aka batman) in the movie industry.

I like comics but when I go to buy one I can't find one I want and when I have no money I see good ones
