Live Streaming for Red/Orange Lunar Eclipse

Blessings all.

Being a teacher of  Earth Science, rare events like a total lunar eclipse just excites me much.  I doubly excites me is that it coincides with the Winter Solstice.  The last occurrence of these two events together is like 400 years ago.

Here is a chance for us to see a total lunar eclipse (2:41am EST).  The last one occurred two years ago.  I have not seen a single live total lunar eclipse in my life, not to mention a beaming orange or red one.  I hope I wake up.  You lucky Californians!  I happens for you at 11:41pm!

If it's cloudy outside, you may view it live still:

 >:(  Aw, it's cloudy and raining outside.  There's nothing to see right now, but maybe later.

Thanks for the link, at least I can see something...

It was clear as day here in Medford, OR, and oh what an amazing sight!  Watched it straight through with my binoculars from about 11:35 until 11:45.  So completely cool!

Wow!!!!  I finally saw it myself here on Long Island!  It seems that the cloudy skies opened up a bit just for me to see it.  God is just so awesome in proudly showing us his celestial creations display magnificence!

And, Scott, you at least have more sleep hours ahead of you!

I stayed up until 3 last night to try to see the moon, but it was so cloudy over here that all the stars might have exploded and I wouldn't even know.

That is seriously awesome. Minneapolis city lights + clouds made me fairly certain that waking up that early would have been fruitless, so I didn't see any of it. But that picture is great.

Light pollution wouldn't have affected this.

You can see the moon during the day, so... you could likely still see it with city lights.  :P

Clouds however, yeah.

One final go at animating it. Getting 40+ photos to line up is difficult work...
