completely applicable. you dont have to be 'rich' in wealth to be rich in anything. whether he earned it or not also has nothing to do with boasting about it. i really dont care either way, im just giving him a hard time about it.

on another note, i find it odd 'foolish boasting' is not listed in the REG.

That has everything to do with boasting.  That's what boasting is: vocal self-praise or claims to superiority over others.

Foolish Boasting is not in the REG cause it doesn't do anything.  Cards are only listed in the REG if they have a special ability to define/categorize, or if they are listed peripherally as having a certain identifier or attribute.

Did you get them through your own efforts, and do you think those efforts make you better than someone else?

how i got them is completely irrelevant. why does it matter? it has nothing to do with pride in possession. allow me to finish your definition for you:

Synonyms:
1, 2. Boast, brag imply vocal self-praise or claims to superiority over others. Boast usually refers to a particular ability, possession, etc., that may be one of such kind as to justify a good deal of pride.

the means is apparantly irrelevant. it has nothing to do with the act of bragging about your possessions.

um, yeah, the means are entirely relevant.  Why do you think the possessions are worth bragging about?

The Bible says we are saved through grace by faith, not by works... lest any man should boast.  Sounds like the means matter.

And of course, you'd rather argue about that than just answer the question.

now you may be trying to cover your lack of the ps3 by buying a wii. you may even say that playing the wii is just as much fun as playing ps3. this is obviously the talk of someone who does not...have 3 ps3's.
