If it truly is just a kitten, then it is still trainable. I'm sure there are ways to discourage the kitten from climbing the fence other than killing it. Find something that cats don't like (maybe vinegar?) and put it on the fence. The kitten will eventually lick his paws, taste the vinegar (or whatever you choose), and go, "Yuck!" Another possibility is to whack the fence with a bat when the cat is on it. That should scare it off. If you think about it, you will come up with plenty of ways to train the kitten rather than kill it.

Be aware, though, that I personally like vinegar..... and chicken....

A. I base this answer of a graduate seminary course that I took on the Book of Revelation. I mispoke when I said beast, I meant the four living creatures, one representing domestic animals, another wild animals, I would have to go bad into my notes on that.

C. Your right on this one, but that doesn't mean they won't have a place in God's new Creation.
D. Yes theology is the study of God, but there are specific areas within theology, this topic falling under creation care, the ethics and theology of caring for the earth and its creatures.

He wasn't joking. If you believed that whenever we lose a toy it gets taken by little green men to a space capsule to be returned to us one day, would it be "disrespectful" for us to tell you that's not the case?

By the same token, whether or not his cat is going to be in heaven, who does it benefit for us to tell him that it doesn't? It just upsets him, and he's clearly easily upset if he's a farmer who doesn't want to kill feral cats. So just leave off it, ok?

You agreed with him that animals have no souls. Apparently the two of you draw different conclusions from that premise. I can't make any judgments about your relationship with your cat, but all I know is that God values us much, much higher than animals:

Mat 10:31 - "Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows."

I don't believe that creatures without souls are irreplaceable, as people are. The Bible doesn't say anything about the issue of animals going to Heaven, so all this is opinion. Expressing that opinion is not un-Christian, and should not offend anyone. Just please calm down. No one was trying to disrespect you.
