Hi. (Sorry no smiley face today)

i live outside oberlin OH in a rural area. ihave 10 chickens. and as you can guess there are lots of ferral cats around usualy i don't mind them,(That is when their not scaling chicken wire to get into the henhouse) which is exactly what one little kitten is doing. i don't want to hurt the little guy, but i don't want his fleas and diseases spreading to my flock. any help would be great.
P.S we are going to take him to a shelter but i need suggestion for untill then.

God bless, Souron

You're a farmer, kill the cat.

I was going to post Stephen Lynch's "Kill a Kitten" here, but after listening to it I realized there is an offensive line.

Yeah, that's pretty much the lowdown here. Kittens might be cute, but their lives are not worth risking your livelihood.

inside every kitten is a sabertooth tiger. kill it before it kills you.

wow, I hope you guys are joking.

God's creatures are to be taken care of by us not killed, unless it really is a lion trying to kill you.

I suggest you give it some food and water to keep it away from you hens then bring it to the shelter.

That doesn't mean you should go around killing them.

That being said, killing cats is often the correct thing to do imo (I wouldn't say so in this situation)... assuming you're having trouble with those feral cats. The cat could very well kill your animals and spread disease. Feeding it will only attract more, and taking it to a shelter seems like a good idea, but 99 times out of 10 you'll be wasting your energy and resources just to have them kill it two weeks later. If you've exhausted your other options and can humanely kill it, do it.

This is a good idea. Like leave it by the back door or where it is away from the chickens.

Its not a kitten. Its a cat. He needs to protect his chickens. He should kill the cat.

???
why do kittens go to heaven?

Well this is my logic,  When God Created the earth, life was in perfect harmony. God said his creation was good.  Then humanity sinned, got banned from the garden and things began to die, or were killed.

In Gods new Creation, New Jerusalem, whatever you would like to call it, when the world is no more and we all have either eternal life or death.  I feel that all gods creatures will live among us as well.  So when my cat die, I looked forward to the day when I would one day seem him again, and sometimes think how jealous I am that he gets to be in the presence of the almighty God.

If we look at revealation, we see the four beast that are in heaven. This may be an indication that humans and angel are not the only one that will inhabit heaven.

So that is my theology of things.

A. the four beasts are quite possibly representative of things, like prophecy often is.
B. you FEEL like that all God's creatures? I would suggest not basing things off of feelings.
C. animals don't have souls.
D. That's not theology...theology is the study of God.
E. Wrath is weak.
