My nephew, my son
The innocent lamb he won
My city, the first second king did steal
My hand grasped the hated one's heel

Thinking out loud -

My nephew, my son - Did the guy marry his sister?

The innocent lamb he won -

My city, the first second king did steal - was Jeroboam II the first "II" king?  He took Damascus and Hamath.  Or, does that mean the first king in the book of II Kings?  That would be Ahaziah, son of Ahab.  Did he steal a city?

My hand grasped the hated one's heal - I thought this was Jacob, since he grasped Esau's heel (and God said "Jacob have I loved, Esau have I hated).

Any other ideas?

King David?

"My city, the first second king did steal"

Absalom, who was the first one to become "king" while another King was still on the throne, stole David's city of Jerusalem.

"My hand grasped the hated one's heel"

Reference to the line of David who would strike the heel of the Satan?

Good thought, but no, it's not King David. The first two lines don't match with him.

Bryon is on the right track.

My nephew, my son

My city, the first second king did steal
My hand grasped the hated one's heel

Props to my dad for thinking of the last line.

EDIT: I just realized my second line was inaccurate, as I misread the REG. New first lines.
The serpant?
Reason: Last line, and the verse, he(serpant) will bruise his heel.

Still no.

So far:
Abraham
Jacob
King David
King Saul
Absolam
Melk
Esau
King Abijah
Jerusalem
Israel (not that we have an Israel card...but it was a good thought)

My nephew, my son
The innocent lamb he won
My city, the first second king did steal
My hand grasped the hated one's heel

Laban?

"My Nephew, my son" Jacob was Laban's nephew until he married his daughter, then he became his son in law.
"The innocent lamb he won" Jacob found favor in the sight of the lord which lead to his being re-named Israel.
"My city the first second king did steal" Could it be when David was king he conquered all of laban's teritory?
"My hand grasped the hated one's heel" this one I have no clue.

Laban is correct.

"My nephew, my son" Jacob was Laban's nephew and became his son in law twice over.
"The innocent lamb he won" Rachel, Laban's daughter, means innocent lamb.
"My city, the first second king did steal" King Jeroboam II takes Damascus, the capital of Syria, and Laban was a syrian.
"My hand grasped the hated one's heel" Jacob was Laban's hired hand, and he grasped Esau's heel. Jacob I have loved, Esau I have hated.

TripleplayNo3, it's your turn to think of a riddle. Good job.

That is a very good one!  Hint: the prophet of old is a 7/5 blue hero.  But the answer is a much newer card.

I suppose I'll answer it just so I can make one.

What is: Four-Drachma Coin?

Anyway, here's mine:

The Sufferer heard how he none could tame
The Psalmist spoke of where he would play
The Prophet spoke of his crooked name
And that it would be him the Lord would slay

God explained to Job (The Sufferer) that only He could tame Leviathan
Quote
Job 41:1
“Can you pull in Leviathan with a fishhook or tie down its tongue with a rope?

The Psalmist (David or another of the Psalms writers) expressed how the seas were a place for Leviathan to "play"
Quote
Psalm 104:26
There the ships go to and fro, and Leviathan, which you formed to frolic there.

Isaiah (The Prophet) speaks of God defeating Leviathan when Israel is delivered.
Quote
Isaiah 27:1
In that day, the LORD will punish with his sword— his fierce, great and powerful sword— Leviathan the gliding serpent, Leviathan the coiling serpent; he will slay the monster of the sea.
