Guess the card title and start the next riddle. I'll go first:
Hard as a rock, it never repented
The number was 10 before it relented.
-
I would say Que, but he repented. ::)

Judah or Isreal? whichever one didnt repent and had the 10 out of the 12 tribes
Judah pretty sure
edit : oh CARD Titles... hmm i guess it is a hero :P

I'm thinking evil enhancement. Pharaoh's Hard Heart? The 10 plagues followed by Pharaoh letting the Israelite people go.
-
You have to be right..
-

Correct. You are up. Make a riddle for us, with a card title answer.
-
My nephew, my son
The innocent lamb he won
My city, the first second king did steal
My hand grasped the hated one's heel
Props to my dad for thinking of the last line.
EDIT: I just realized my second line was inaccurate, as I misread the REG. New first lines.
-
I have it, but I'll wait for others to chime in. The last line was a good one - and was the clue I needed to solve the riddle.
-
Sad day - I thought I had it based on your first lines..... But if they're not accurate, then I don't know.
-
Okay, updated the riddle. I'm still trying to think of a better way to word the third line though...don't get too hung up on it.
-
Jacob?
I'm hung up on the last line...
-
Melkchisdelk?
-
Jerusalem?
-
Israel?
Wasn't that Jacob's name or something?
-
Jacob?
I'm hung up on the last line...
It has to be Jacob. Props on the last line that was clever.

I believe it is. Love the lamb line :D Yay for obscure parts of stories.
-
It's not Jacob. The last line makes it seem like Jacob, but it's not, as there's another person which fits that (and the rest of the description) quite perfectly.
-
Esau?
-
I thought it was King Abijah based on your origional first lines.... But then you changed them....... And he doesn't exactly fit the other lines at all.
-
Please post reasons with your guesses. It's not Esau though. (Or King Abijah)
-
King Saul?
-
Reasons, please.
-
Melkchisdelk?
Reason is line three.
-
King Saul?
I was also thinking King Saul.
-
Melkchisdelk?
Reason is line three.
I'm not sure how the first second king stole his capital city (see why line 3 is tripping me up? I wanted to say the capital city, but it took too many syllables, and still wouldn't be perfectly clear). The first second king has nothing to do with Melk.
And nobody has it yet.
-
My nephew, my son
The innocent lamb he won
My city, the first second king did steal
My hand grasped the hated one's heel
Thinking out loud -
My nephew, my son - Did the guy marry his sister?
The innocent lamb he won -
My city, the first second king did steal - was Jeroboam II the first "II" king? He took Damascus and Hamath. Or, does that mean the first king in the book of II Kings? That would be Ahaziah, son of Ahab. Did he steal a city?
My hand grasped the hated one's heal - I thought this was Jacob, since he grasped Esau's heel (and God said "Jacob have I loved, Esau have I hated).
Any other ideas?
-
King David?
"My city, the first second king did steal"
Absalom, who was the first one to become "king" while another King was still on the throne, stole David's city of Jerusalem.
"My hand grasped the hated one's heel"
Reference to the line of David who would strike the heel of the Satan?
-
Good thought, but no, it's not King David. The first two lines don't match with him.
Bryon is on the right track.
-

The serpant?
Reason: Last line, and the verse, he(serpant) will bruise his heel.
-
Abraham? Reason he married his half-sister.
-
Still no.
So far:
Abraham
Jacob
King David
King Saul
Absolam
Melk
Esau
King Abijah
Jerusalem
Israel (not that we have an Israel card...but it was a good thought)
-
My nephew, my son
The innocent lamb he won
My city, the first second king did steal
My hand grasped the hated one's heel
Laban?
"My Nephew, my son" Jacob was Laban's nephew until he married his daughter, then he became his son in law.
"The innocent lamb he won" Jacob found favor in the sight of the lord which lead to his being re-named Israel.
"My city the first second king did steal" Could it be when David was king he conquered all of laban's teritory?
"My hand grasped the hated one's heel" this one I have no clue.
-
Laban is correct.
"My nephew, my son" Jacob was Laban's nephew and became his son in law twice over.
"The innocent lamb he won" Rachel, Laban's daughter, means innocent lamb.
"My city, the first second king did steal" King Jeroboam II takes Damascus, the capital of Syria, and Laban was a syrian.
"My hand grasped the hated one's heel" Jacob was Laban's hired hand, and he grasped Esau's heel. Jacob I have loved, Esau I have hated.
TripleplayNo3, it's your turn to think of a riddle. Good job.
-
Wow. That was VERY clever. My "hand." That last line was even more Genius-er than I thought!
-
Anybody else want to come up with something? I have an idea but it's not ready yet.
-
Treated like a Prophet of old
Not meant to be purchased or sold
Found by a rock and given by law
Paid for the one who paid for it all
-

Thirty pieces of Silver?
-
Treated like a Prophet of old
Not meant to be purchased or sold
Found by a rock and given by law
Paid for the one who paid for it all
That is a very good one! Hint: the prophet of old is a 7/5 blue hero. But the answer is a much newer card.

I suppose I'll answer it just so I can make one.
What is: Four-Drachma Coin?
Anyway, here's mine:
The Sufferer heard how he none could tame
The Psalmist spoke of where he would play
The Prophet spoke of his crooked name
And that it would be him the Lord would slay
-
There's something fishy about that one... ::)
-
levithan Why? He was untamable, He is often thought to be like satan as well.
-
levithan Why? He was untamable, He is often thought to be like satan as well.
Correct. Can you figure out what all the lines mean though?
-
give a little while and I'll PM it to you. *My riddle*
1 of 3
no evil within
Angels reside within
what is it?
-
God explained to Job (The Sufferer) that only He could tame Leviathan
Job 41:1
“Can you pull in Leviathan with a fishhook or tie down its tongue with a rope?
The Psalmist (David or another of the Psalms writers) expressed how the seas were a place for Leviathan to "play"
Psalm 104:26
There the ships go to and fro, and Leviathan, which you formed to frolic there.
Isaiah (The Prophet) speaks of God defeating Leviathan when Israel is delivered.
Isaiah 27:1
In that day, the LORD will punish with his sword— his fierce, great and powerful sword— Leviathan the gliding serpent, Leviathan the coiling serpent; he will slay the monster of the sea.
-
I'm going to guess Chamber of Angels for red's riddle.
-
"I am a father of three sons."
"My family and I were the chosen ones."
"I survived God's kindeld wrath."
"When the whole earth took a bath."
You're never going to get this one. ;)

I'll Guess Noah. 4/10 to the face.
-
Not chamber.
-
The Name of the Lord?
3 names
angels dwell there
no evil
or maybe one of the temples?
-
No and no.
-
Son of God?
-
*Facepalm*
-
Holy of Holies
-
line 1 doesn't match up.
-
line 1 doesn't match up.
It does if you think about it. There were 3 sections of the temple: the outer section where anyone (I think) could be, the middle part where only priests could go, and the holy of holies where only the high priest could tread.
I'm not saying that's the answer, just that it's a logical guess, lol.
My guess: is it the Third Heaven?
-
Yes it is third heaven.
-
I was under the impression there is a 7th heaven.
-
Cut from stone with hands of man,
Lifeless I am, and life I cannot hold.
When women come to do what they can,
Angels preach and disciples are told.
I think I made it a little too easy, lol.
-
Stone cut without hands, hahaha
-
LOL, nope. :P

Lol, I get it, but I'm bad with writing riddles so I'll remain silent.

The Empty Tomb.
-
That's not the card title, but yes, lol.
-
Oh, well... There is a card title by that name, I thought it fit perfectly.... PM me what you were thinking.
-
Maybe The Garden Tomb? ;)
-
From the writ like Macedonia's king,
Complaint the camp supplier brings.
Two names could solve this quizzy rhyme,
They both will live eternal lives.
-
Yes, I imagine we have quite a few cards that fit that particular description ;) Those two would be the first that come to mind though
-
Bryon got it, "The Garden Tomb". :P
-
It's TGT.
