What is the best way to sort out your cards? Should I do this by brigade, or set? Or are there any other suggestions?

Also, in which order were the packs released?

EX: Disciples packs were released last and warriors packs came first.

I'll go backwards with what I know, Disciples, Thesarus, Rock of Ages, Faith of our Fathers, Priests, Angel Wars,(following orders I do not know), warriors.

Hello, thanks i have been looking for this, Due to the fact iw ould like to start sorting out my cards to try and start trading up for a better deck.  Thanks :-)

What I was doing is taking one copy of each card and putting them into binders while the other ones were sorted by brigades in my big box.

I also keep all my UR/FOOF up in a seperate tin and that's where my main trading cards are.

This is what I do also, in two folders i have sets of singles by set then in ABC order the extras go in a big box by brigades and my rares ultra rares in my trade folder.

i have a better idea! just  put em all in a big box.  u'll know where they all are! lol (well at least the general area... lol )

I use the "big pile" method.  I know it's in there somewhere

3 ring binders are soooooo last millenium. its all about monster binders now.

For trading options where others will want to "browse" your collection, I'd recommend having a rare/ultra-rare binder (Seeing as most people will be looking for your more valuable cards).  For storage/archival/knowing where exactly a specific card is, The Schaef has a really well thought out way of doing that.

Also, at this time, I'd like to personally recommend that for those who might care, that you do take precautions to prevent water damage to your collection(s) if possible.  I just found out today that I've lost 95% of my collection of card decks that have been used in actual casinos, possibly 10% of my baseball card collection, and have sustained damage to my .22 rifle because our hot water heater has been leaking for who knows how long.  FYI, binders (Especially the ones that zip) which are made from fabric, are like sponges and will attract the flow of water and welcome it inside like a used car salesman looking for a sucker.  Reference: my .22 rifle case.

If you're tech savvy, or have the free time, while you sort out your cards, you can make an Excel spreadsheet to inventory your cards so that you can track what currently have/do not have.  This too, I'd recommend by following the same method The Schaef outlined previously.  Uniformity goes a long way.
