We are very T1 heavy, so that will definitely work. Here is what we will try.

Dominants may not exceed lost soul count.
The number of good cards must be equal to the number of evil cards.

Not to mention this should be in the Game Play Variations subforum.  Turns out we actually have a place for "player made types"

People assume that there IS a way to fix things. The problem is, it's not broken, it just doesn't run how some people would want it, so it doesn't need fixing. If you "fix" it, then there will be others who don't like the way things are.

And seeing how you live in Florida, I don't think you have anything to worry about with that metagame.  :D

-_-

You're pretty much saying this game is perfect game. That couldn't be further from the truth.

I'm still trying to figure out why you don't just go play some other mainstream CCG, as much as you bring them up, MKC.

Accusing someone of being too mainstream?  Hipster.

I agree with MKC.  Redemption could learn some from other CCGs.

I do. Most of them. I'm still trying to figure out why people keep drumming up that same tired argument anytime anyone shows displeasure in the broken aspects of this game.

I don't understand some of the harsh responses to a suggestion for another type that combines elements of both T1 and T2.  I don't think the OP said to eliminate T1.  I just think there is an interest in another format.  If there is enough interest over time, it might actually be officially implemented, especially if they would allow certain smaller tournaments to host whatever events they wanted to.  A sixty card deck with the same number of evil and good cards, capped at 8 dominants, sounds very interesting, in my opinion.  It is also easier on the budget of poorer players who can't afford 4 of every card.  I for one look forward to hearing how it goes.

Please keep us posted.

I think the harsh response was a direct result of the harsh approach. If Knot had just stated his idea without the personal attacks on Rob, then there would not have been as much of a backlash. We all like hearing new ideas.  ;D

Okay, so, listen. I'm just saying that some people have complaints about T2, some people have complaints about T1, so why not make a player made type that everyone can agree on?

You can do that, plenty of people have. And they've done it without accusing Rob of refusing to listen to his player base.

After all, there is a 2009 Type NW National Champion.  Try an approach that includes humility, grace and lovingkindness. :)
