Any Cosplayers here?

Hey everybody! Does anyone on here cosplay? If so who do you cosplay as and do you go to conventions?

From Wikipedia
Quote
Cosplay (コスプレ kosupure?), short for "costume roleplay",[1] is a type of performance art in which participants don costumes and accessories to represent a specific character or idea.
Cosplayers often interact to create a subculture centered around role play. A broader use of the term cosplay applies it to any costumed role play in venues apart from the stage, regardless of the cultural context.

If stage acting counts as cosplaying, then all the time!  Other than that, no.  I would like to, I made a pretty bad costume of Jayne for hero day at Master's Commission.  (Still Firefly Wyn)

I cosplay ^_^ I have cosplayed as Hatsuhara sohma from fruits basket, Tachibana from s-cry-ed, Captain Hitsugaya from bleach, Super Mario(my personal fav.) and Francis from left 4 dead. The only anime con. i've been to is Otakon because i Live in b-more and it's right down town. I'm thinking of visiting some other cons within the next year in either Pennsylvania Virgina  or west Virgina.

It's been forever since i've been on cosplay.com i guess i'll have to update my profile. my user name is the same as anywhere online ryupeco11

Awesome! I loved that series.  How did you do the balls and the staff? Also would you be willing to help me out with how to make/find cosplay items? I've only made 2 costumes so far and all the props were easy to get, this time I plan to make 3 (over the course of a full year) and I am having trouble finding exact pieces. Sorry for ADHDING all over the place.

For the staff I bought a Florescent light cover I bought Styrofoam balls(an inch thick so it fits in the cover) painted them green with paint and used some wiring to connect them. I can help ya out the best I can however i've not made many things myself either.  I'm lucky I have a family member who is an actual costume designer so i usually just buy props i need. pm about the specifics you need/want to do.
