My QB would have to be John Elway. Had a huge gun arm, ability to run, accuracy, and late game heroics.
For my RBs I'm gonna have to go with Emmit Smith and Jim Brown.
My WRs I have to start with Jerry Rice. Randy Moss for the burner and Lynn Swan to round it out.
My TE is a close call between Kellen Winslow Sr. and Tony Gonzalez. I'm gonna go with Gonzalez.
Place kicker I'd go with Vinatieri as well. For punter I'm gonna go with Matt Turk who played for the Redskins for a few years and frequently had 50+ yard punts, he had a ridiculous leg.
I don't know much about the O-line but I think it'd be hard to not pick Orlando Pace and Larry Allen. Both of those guys have played for a long time at a high level for their respective teams.

For CB I have to go with my man from Texas, Darrel Green. Running down the ball on that big return and then returning that epic kick for a TD, not to mention the fact that he was a shut down corner for 18 years. He's probably still faster than 90% of the guys in the league. For the other side I'm going to go with Mel Blount who played on 4 Steelers Super Bowl teams.
For my safeties I'm going to go back to Pittsburgh for Ronnie Lott and then down to Baltimore for Ed Reed.
For the Linebackers I've got to go with Lawrence Taylor and dork Butkus, I mean how do you not take the guys who have the awards named after them? Then I'll take Ray Lewis to round it out.
For the down lineman I'm going to go with Reggie White, Joe Green, Warren Sapp, and Bruce Smith.

Donald Driver isn't just because he's a Packer. I think he's an amazing player. Absolutely.

Sean-What is wrong with TO? dude is tuff and fast in his prime he deserves this spot. Emmit Smith over Walter Payton, Barry Sanders, Bo jackson, marshall Falk, sayers how can you? I luv ur defensive picks! That D wouldn't give up over 100 yards against the saints.

Stamp-Brady? no not over elway, marino, farve, steve young, also Fitzgerald!? over moss? moss in his prime could jump higher run faster and was tuffer, heck moss right now ain't bad either. Love the defense, between sanders and night train there would be a lot of pics.

Ninja-love the Jackson choice "see my FB", you must be a HUGE packers fan to even trick urself into thinking Donald Driver should be mentioned in the same breath as Randy moss, Terrell Owens, Marrvin harrison if he touched it he caugh it

!Adrian Peterson is good is very good but he is not better than Jim Brown, Walter Payton, Gale Sayers, Earl Campbell, Emmit Smith, Marshal Faulk, or Chris Johnson

Also the current steelers defence? really? Dante Hall<Devin Hester< Gale Sayers

All in all I noticed a lot of ?Barry Sanders and Jerry Rice was #1 wr on all teams "duh" Bo Jackson it was nice to see him get his do. Also i noticed that Moss and Owens are considered a lot.

Some comments:

Tom Brady: There is no other QB who is a winner like Brady, other than Montana, Bart Starr and Terry Bradshaw. It's all about winning championships.

Fitzgerald: Larry has put himself in the same echelon as Rice, Hutson and Swann. No other receivers go up after a ball like those four. It's as if they have to catch the ball or they'll die. Their concentration is quintessential and they give 100%. They're selfless, team players. Moss, Owens, Harrison, et al only wish they could join that club. Lance Alworth's application is soon to be approved.

Earl Campbell: The Tyler Rose was better than any RB that's been listed in his first three seasons. Better than Brown. Better than Sanders. Better than Bo. He came close to making my team.

Favre/Elway/~~Marino~~: These QBs are awesome, don't get me wrong. But I put Starr and Bradshaw ahead of them. Favre has only won one championship so far. Elway won two only because of Davis and Shanahan. He flamed out big time in the three others. (I'm really not sure why I put Marino in there.)

Largent/Biletnikoff: If I absolutely needed a first down, these are the guys to do it.

KR/PR: There have been some good ones but if I had my druthers I would just use one of my star backups on my bench. Also, my kick and punt coverage teams would inlcude many of the defenders on my team. Can you imagine the likes Butkus, Lewis, Lott, Lane and Blount roaring down the field ready to smash their returner into oblivion?

Seriously? TO is the king of dropped passes. The only reason he even has good numbers is because he has had a long carrier. Did you not see him play alongside Jerry Rice? He wasn't even close to Rice in any area of the game and that was when Rice was on the down turn. There are more WRs that outclass TO in skill and character than there are stars in the sky.

Bo and Faulk, easily. I took Emmit over the others because he played longer with better numbers and better success than both. He is the all time leading rusher you know. I also don't recall the others playing with broken bones or dislocated ones, I forget which.

I'm assuming that you have not heard much about Unitas for you to dismiss him so easily. To some he is the greatest QB of all time, but he is without question the best of his era. His accomplishments are lost somewhat since he played his best years before the merger, but a quick list:

1. 47 consecutive games with a touchdown
2. 3 championships
3. 3 MVPs
4. 40,000+ total yards while playing in 12-game seasons

Long before Brett Favre, the "old man" Unitas was putting up big numbers against the NFL's best late in his career. He even came off the bench (after being injured all season) to relieve Earl Morrall, who was ineffective against Joe Namath's Jets in their ill-fated Super Bowl, to lead the Colts on a late scoring drive.

As much as everyone likes numbers, numbers still have to be put into perspective. Unitas has great numbers even for today, yet his season was shorter. If you ever get to see any old film clips of his playing, you might just be impressed by his fluid (seemingly effortless) delivery, pinpoint accuracy, and superior leadership.

He may not be everyone's top choice, but he certainly should not be so easily dismissed.

I borrowed ~~YMT's~~ STAMPS (oops! sorry)formatt largely because I liked many of his picks as well. Some I dissagreed with and others I shuffled in some different starters but this is close to what he chose as well. I agree that Championships matter because the guys who win are the guys who get it done when it counts. While I believe Manning to be statistically, the best QB ever, I cannot argue that Montana gets my nod because he gets it done in the championships. Same with my decision to start Payton over sanders although I believe Sanders to be the better running back.

Most of the others are self explanitory....

Foor kicker I went with Vinitari because of the Championships, athough Andersen was a great choice as well

and for Punter...Ray Guy Hands down. The ONLY punter to be selected in the first round of the draft...ever..

Sean-8 double digit td years, though i think he has a huge dropsy issue. After further review emmit smith= underrated! two 20 td seasons convinced me

stamp-Fitzgerald is Randy moss lite, shorter, slower and doesn't jump as high. moss doesn't always give a 100%. but 100% moss > 110% Larry. a 49 catch 13 td season. Moss is easily a top 5 alltime wr. no one scores like he does, cept Rice. moss averages over 12 td's a year, fitzgerald has only scored 12 once in 5 seasons. if you want to say itz cause he has only played a few seasons moss rookie season looked like this 69 catches 17 td's avg.19 yds a catch 1313 yards. Fitzgerald dreams of being moss. btw harrison is a team player

I thought it was funny that you have Tom Brady with these receivers, considering most of those are deep threats. Tom Brady goes games without a pass over 20 yards.

@Jasonbourne, yeah, I'd put jackson in a sprint against Reggie Bush and a strength contest against Reggie White and I bet he'd beat them both. I am a Packers fan... but Driver is awesome. You can always rely on him to catch the ball (TO drops it), and his yards after the carry are great. He shows a lot of effort. Also, Aaron Rodgers is the second highest sacked QB in football right now and yet Driver gets at least 3 good catches EVERY game. Like I said, he's reliable. Randy Moss has a bad attitude I wouldn't want him on my A-team unless I had to. Also, I think AP is definitely better than Earl Campbell, Jim Brown and Chris Johnson. At least let Chris Johnson have one more good season to count him in on that. Peterson has been on top for 3 years now. He's outdone by yards but still has touchdowns. Also keep in mind that no running back is gonna get the yards Chris Johnson has when Brett Favre is your quarterback. I really wasn't sure about defense but sure, I'll take Steelers.

Although I think maybe 1998 Packers would be better.

I didn't see his performance... did he fumble a lot again? But yes, he's still my number #1 currently, and I'd still put him above the names I mentioned. Keep in mind this is his third year, putting him as a possible second all-time choice is partly due to expectations. He's gonna get better I think. Especially when Favre leaves and he can shine.

I'm guessing most voters just thought it was the global financial services firm, and was being used to make sure they were paying attention when voting.
