Anyone who leaves the game may join R.A.T.S.*  It doesn't cost anything.  There's no secret handshake.  There's no membership requirements other than officially or unofficially declaring you quit, retire, go on hiatus, are selling your collection, aren't posting on the boards, playgroup broke up, got beaten by an RLK, played against an ANB-abuse deck, moved, God's calling you elsewhere, your mom's calling you elsewhere, the voices in your head are calling you elsewhere, etc., etc., etc.  :)

Prof Underwood is what you call a "local moderator". So he is a moderator of the ROOT forum, (and gameplay variations I think), but he has as much power as you and I everywhere else. In order to have more power you need to be a Global moderator (like Bryon or Roy) or an Admin/Overlord (like Schaef or Rob).
