Similarly to how I wanted to provide some strong cards in a type that is currently quite weak, I wanted to make some weapons that were high in flavor and usability. Horses have the latter only, and other than maybe Phinehas' Spear and Foreign Sword, the rest lack it.
Abner's Spear
X/X Brown Enhancement, WC
-X=Offense of chosen Hero in battle-
"O.T. Enhancements Cannot be Negated unless a king is in battle."
~Same
Asahel impaled himself on Abner's Spear when pursuing him, reflected in the X definition. Very powerful on Foreign Spearman as it will outright kill any Hero with a defense equal to or less than his offense. On a different Evil Character, it will guarantee survival by the numbers against a lone Hero if no other Enhancements are played, as Abner escaped his lone assailant, but also surrenders initiative and leaves the blocker wide open against an O.T. Enhancement. However, against a band, the CBN can work to the blocker's advantage as Abner was David's general and used to fighting larger forces. For that same reason, it works differently when a King is involved, granting the numbers without the increased vulnerability (and an artful way to get around Ahab abuse). I also wanted it to still be a good card when converted, as Abner was a good guy much of the time (with the king exception also serving to prevent abuse with Throne of David if converting a spear-wielding king). And as a tiny extra bit of zest, this would actually be a worthwhile snatch for David's Tent.
Peter's Sword
3/1 Purple Enhancement, WC
-May be wielded by Peter as a weapon-
"Regardless of protection, Negate, Discard and Heal a Human Evil Character."
~John 18:10 (Genesis 27:40)
This card was a lot of fun to think of. It is most powerful when it comes out of freaking nowhere, serving as a battle-winner. After it's been played, it is still useful for taking a troublesome EC SA out of the picture. This perk is especially powerful on Peter, who gets to negate all demons plus a human. The additional verse is a bit of a liberty, but Scroll of Isaiah gave me the idea, and although this verse is not a direct quote of the O.T. verse, it is what Jesus was alluding to. The reason I make such a stretch is so that this card can work with The Power of Death, referencing Jesus' famous "get behind me, Satan," to become much more powerful if the Son of God isn't around to take out the negation of the healing portion. The "regardless of protection" is because Malchus was pretty much surrounded by armed guards, as protected as you can be, and still got hit (as well as giving the zippy Disciples a way to not be completely neutered by a single Foreign Wives). There's no way to know whether he would have died of his injury without Jesus there to fix it, but for gameplay purposes he would have.
Spear of Destiny
4/0 Grey Enhancement, WC
-X=Number of Brigades of removed character-
"Remove a character in opponent's Discard Pile from the game to draw X or discard X cards (limit 3) from opponent's hand. Cannot be Prevented."
~John 19:34
This one is pretty straightforward. Also wanted it to be powerful when converted and a good target for David's Tent.
Joab's Darts
3/0 Black/Red Enhancement, WC
"Discard a character in a territory. Convert bearer to an Evil Character with special ability 'underdeck a King' following battle."
~II Samuel 18:14
The discard is straightforward, referring to Joab having killed Absolom when he was not in battle. David's displeasure and ensuing depression is reflected in the SA of the converted EC. The conversion to evil represents Joab's shifting loyalties, giving another flavor mechanism for converting Joab, allowing Evil Characters to hop brigades, and preventing Heroes from using it more than once (which would be far too powerful).
