Too many prophets in the game for this to be worthwhile. Virtually every theme as at least one prophet (Genesis has Joseph, Sam has all sorts of guys, Disciples have John and Peter, etc), and I just don't think I'd use it unless that stipulation was repealed, or changed somehow.
Last I checked Peter is not a Prophet. John is because he wrote Revelation.
This card kinda reminds me of a card called Baal Worship.

It gets around FBTN (when played as TC) to chump block, and can be used twice (with Pride of Simon) in T1 and 4 times without recursion in T2. Canaanites already have an established beef with Prophets, and this is a great way to further that as well.
The biggest problem is it's too easy to circumvent with pretty much every theme. I, personally, would not use it a Canaanite defense because I'd rather have a card that might get a block, but if it works, is also doing damage to my opponent beyond a stall. Then again, I guess the best cards are cards that some people would use and others wouldn't. Carry on then.
Where is the evidence that Pet is a Prophet?
I would change it to "Place this in your territory: During battle you may remove this card and..." so that you can use it during battle as a block, although I don't see why this need the removal, I think discard would be good enough (discard this card and your evil Canaanite).
having your EC discarded isn't as big a deal for canaanites, because of Fortify Site and to a lesser extent, Pharaoh's Cupbearer, especially in type II.
Or, how about:"Place this card in your territory: During battle you may capture your Canaanite to protect OT Lost Souls from rescue except by an OT Prophet."This is somewhat more powerful, but the idea is that you generate souls for your opponent on later turns while protecting yourself on this turn, however I'm not sure if this is the right card for this ability. Another idea is give a Canaanite to your opponent representing them "infecting" Israel.
How about single brigade green prophet or something like that?It would stop most meta offenses and give Canaanites a boost they need.

Right now, the card has been updated to say "...except by a Green OT Prophet", and honestly I thought it was balanced before. This restriction is already good enough, IMO and doesn't need to be adjusted.
Stops Samuel and Joesph
