So basically, your opponent chooses him to block (or be added to the block) or discards a good card?
Not sure how this works. Unless you add the phrase "While this evil character is in play" to the third sentence, discarding will never trigger. If you do add the phrase, I would so add this to my deck along with Wall of Protection, and block with him the one time necessary to activate his SA.
If you look at its identifiers, the special ability is active in territory so the discard can trigger due to that.
I like the picture from this card, it looks like something from a horror movie!
As a side note, if its a demon protection from conversion is redundant, because demons can't be converted.
