We Want Barabbas
[Black/Gray Evil Enhancement | -/- | TC | Mark 15:11]
Exchange a captured Hero with a Hero in a territory (or battle if played during Battle Phase). Cannot be negated if Pontius Pilate is in play.

Since 3 new cards in a day is better than 2. :P

Maybe put if used by a Pharisee/ Sadducee or Pontias Pilate. Makes it more versitile otherwise it should just be Gray.

Having less versatility is more versatile... wut.

I feel like this would be just another High Priest's Offer / Casting Lots where it's a really gimmicky enhancement that might work out well.

I like it though, fits the story well.

It would be played in decks that use romans or Pharisee/Sadducee cards. Just because you don't use them doesn't meen others don't. Besides sadducees and pharisees help you gain intitative and possibley end the battle early with the right cards.

Trust me, I play withe everything.
Also, in my experience (which is a good bit), I do not see this getting played as much, if at all.  dual-color evil enhancement that exchanges a captured hero, (who is usually their hero, which means same color) with another hero in battle is nothing great. If you have initiative you would want to play a battle winner, not another card that gives you initiative, or that gives them one.

Yes, you would give them a hero of the same color, unless they are running multiple colors and you have hero captured of one of their other colors, or if they are playing a defense that uses capture (which there are quite a few of), or you could always have a little self capture.  So yes this would not be the most widely used card, but its an interesting idea, and it could definitely be used in the right deck.

Would it be better if I added something to spice it up, like "Exchange ...... to end the battle"?

I think he meant Cannot be negated if used by a Pharisee/Sadducee or Pontius Pilate (instead of just Pontius)

The way I see it, the chief priests influenced the crowd (use the enhancement) and Pilate carried out the action (makes it CBN), so the current wording fits the story to a tee.

Like I said in my previous post, I'm more than willing to spice it up if people think it needs it, but the basics of what's there right now is a minimum that I want to fit with the story.

It seems like the "in a territory (or battle if played during Battle Phase)" is unnecessary, unless you wanted this enhancement to be limited to only affecting the battle during battle. If I were you, I would just take that part out.

Um........I'm not at all sure what you mean. That would turn it into "Exchange a captured Hero with a Hero", is that what you mean?

I agree that this won't see much play at all. Assuming there's some sweet reprint of Barabbas (who should be warrior class), it should include something involving him. Additionally, make it more generally usable while still fitting the story.

Give Us Barabbas!

Capture a hero. If played during the battle phase, you may search opponent's deck for Son of God and discard it.

Why warrior class? Where is there proof he fought in an earthy battle or did something to gain warrior class?

He fought in the insurrection and killed people.

From that you are saying aanyone who killed a person or revolted should have warrior class status. So stone throwers, the pharisees/sadducees, angry mob, and saul(N.T) should have warrior class by your definition since each one killed or revolted.

I'm not sure the point you're trying to make. Stone Throwers refers to people who were going to stone a woman to death for adultery, until Jesus defended her. Pharisees/Sadducees are generic - it's not really logical to assume that every single one of them killed, or even if they did, that they killed during battle, as opposed to an execution. Angry Mob is the same way, it was an attempted execution more than anything else. I don't know Saul's history that well, but I believe that all the killings he did were execution-style. Barabbas literally fought and killed in an insurrection, which implies an actual battle.

He was part of a revoltion and is considered a murderer that is all we have from the gospels about him, unless you a more indepth source about him that is reliable.

in·sur·rec·tion

noun /ˌinsəˈrekSHən/
insurrections, plural

A violent uprising against an authority or government
        - the insurrection was savagely put down
        - opposition to the new regime led to armed insurrection

I would say that a "violent uprising" could easily count as a battle or skirmish. He literally took up arms during a violent uprising and killed at least one person, more than likely a Roman soldier. How is that qualification of warrior class?
