Vulnerable - New Special Ability?

While working on cards for the Revelation expansion project, I thought up a new special ability idea and I wanted to get feedback on it outside of the context of the project.

Letter to Pergamum
Purple GE | 0/0 | TC
-n/a-
"Place in territory for 6 turns: Your N.T. Heroes are protected from demons but vulnerable to magicians. If a N.T. Hero defeats a demon or magician you may search deck for Pergamum Overcomes."
~Revelation 2:12


Vulnerable - Cards that are vulnerable to <X> cannot be protected from, immune to, or ignore whatever <X> is. Vulnerable is not a negate nor a protect, it functions similarly to "cannot be ignored" and "regardless" in that it just gets around those abilities.

could you still negate something that you are vulnerable to? basically: vulnerable to X=regardless of protection and immunity from X

Yes, you can negate anything that's not CBI/CBN.

I think it would be interesting to play. Would there be vulnerabilities for both good and evil?

I can totally see Vulnerable being reprinted to have an ability with "vulnerability." It should get name-on-name bonus every time you play it too even though they're on the same card. :P

Pretty cool idea and I think it would work well against AUtO -> Gid if you make one that can target them.

I can definitely see there being vulnerabilities on both sides. :P

Haha, I should make that reprint, thanks for the tip! And yes, I could totally see something evil that helps you in battle against AuTOGid. ;)

I like your idea for the new keyword ability. The game could probably use a card based on Judges 8, maybe called Gideon's Ephod, which makes Judges cards vulnerable.

*blushes* Why thank you. I can think of a lot of ideas for the keyword, I just wanted to see how it would pan out before going crazy with it (I've used it on at least one other card now in the Revelation expansion and, like I said, I have so many ideas).

This is definitely a good and creative idea.  So the definition would go something like this:

"If a card is "vulnerable" to <X>, then <X> cannot be ignored by the vulnerable card, and enhancements played on <X> gain the clause "regardless of immunity or protection" when targeting the vulnerable card."

Gabe, I love your idea, and it definitely fits the Biblical story very well.  Just as long as the card is useful enough to sometimes merit a deck slot even if your opponent is not running Judges  ;)

Thanks! Effectively, I just didn't want to go adding clauses to other cards.
