Didn't think of that combo, but yes, I believe that would be what happens.

Especially if it removes a character and is CBN

Well, aren't "end the battle" cards CBI regardless since they have to resolve (and, thus, end the battle) before anything can be played to counter them? I just added the physical CBN text to clarify.
