Unequally Yoked

I haven't been on here in a long time, please over look the fact that I may not be formatting this design according to the general format people use when posting on here.

Unequally Yoked
evil fortress or territorial enhancement
At the end of your turn (or beginning of opponent's turn) or upkeep, you may set aside an evil character from your territory to convert a hero in an opponent's territory to an evil character until end of turn.

This is a control card. You can't block with that evil character and neither can your opponent rescue with their hero. Balanced (unless you're running lots of evil characters) lol

As is, especially as an every turn thing, I feel this one is very OP.  Being able to take out the key hero for the opponent every turn is the same as removing them from the game, more or less, and your cost will be minimal (being able to choose a less-valuable EC).  Also, I do not like the convert component of this, as that does not fit well.  For what you are trying to accomplish, set-aside is better.  It also doesn't really work as written, depending on the way it is taken.

How about:
Unequally Yoked
TC Evil Enhancement
Special Ability: Set-aside your Evil Character and an opponent's hero for 2 turns.

I was thinking on the lines of X, do, "You may set aside an evil character from your territory for x turns (min. 2) to convert a hero in an opponent's territory to an evil character until end of turn."
x is 5 minus the number of opponents heroes in territory

And then it may be able to be a fortress.

Conversion is just not the way to go.  It does not fit at all with what is happening.  Set-aside would be how you handle this mechanic.

Great input, I'm super rusty with wording and mechanics and ruling as I haven't played competitively in about 3 yrs and only a few games inbetween that.

BTW, not sure if I'd keep the name now, its seems kinda bland to me but that's the spiritual aspect or truth behind the design of the card. I just thought the theme and mechanic would fit the truth.

The Delarosas have returned!  :o

Are you guys still in Florida? I'm grooming a new playgroup at the new school I teach at in Winter Haven. I will be hosting tournaments soon. Are you guys interested/able in coming up this way for a tournament?

Tim! Yes we're still in Florida. I'm happy to hear that. Hunter Yeago, one from our former group, actually moved up close by you for college. Honestly its just my brother and I who have any interest. I bought some of the new starters last year and I've been intending to buy the newest tins and by the looks of the spoilers I'd like to get the new set. It depends if my brother would want to go. He recently got inspired to try to build a new deck and I've been encouraging him, he hasn't been creative with deck construction for years and for him that's very disappointing. If we did meet, we're going to be SUPER rusty.

I have over 20 new players, all under the age of 16. I'll need you to be rusty so that they have a fighting chance.  ;)

Over 20 ppl!! Wow, praise God. Haha, yeah I know what you mean. Is that teen, Andrew, around? I remember him from Regionals a few years back, he was good competition. How do you accommodate a playgroup that large? Are you still meeting in your house or Cornerstone church?  Sorry about my late response =/

My brother just told me could probably get his g/f to join us if we'd go up since she likes kids and games  :)

What's your tournament schedule looking like this year?
