Troubled needs to have a trigger, otherwise right now you can just use it repeatedly and indefinitely at any time.

Poverty should only trigger on draw abilities used by that opponent, otherwise it + Mayhem (and similar) is far too powerful.

Interesting ideas, though!

For "Troubled", Wouldn't it only trigger once it hits play and not again unless shuffled?

For poverty, Mayhem was kinda the card I had in mind. lol

Most lost souls trigger when drawn, but they all specify that, there's nothing inherent or automatic about when lost soul abilities activate. Like all special abilities, being in play is the only default requirement. In this case, since it doesn't specify when it activates, you'd be able to use it anytime (except while another card is resolving or during special initiative) and as many times as you want, meaning if you have this in play and it's not negated you could just decrease your opponent's entire territory until they all are discarded.

Are you saying I should add "when placed in territory,"? Because I'm still a little confused. My intent is when the lost soul hits territory it decreases one character once and not again unless shuffled and redrawn

If that's the intent then you could add either "When drawn," or "When put in your territory," at the beginning, though the latter would allow it to trigger again if an ability moves it (so if you only want it to trigger upon initially drawing it then go with "When drawn,").
