It's certainly a monstrous Koney counter and definitely kills the deck, which is good, but I'm trying to think if there are any side effects of this. Currently the only thing that comes to mind is Priests get caught in the crossfire as protection from various types of removal is part of their identity and Melk+Every Tribe provide enough brigades to trigger it. I am definitely a fan of cards that punish (heh) having too many brigades though.

Is it CBN just so Woes doesn't counter it? I hope we don't see a dramatic rise in CBN neutral cards just because of Woes.

It's only the brigades in battle (so Every Tribe is safe if he doesn't band to a 4th brigade).

Ah true, in that case this card is a fantastic, elegant counter an absolutely deserves to be printed.

That seems like a drastic response to an overhyped situation. It reminds me of the introduction of "cannot be ignored" in response to TGT when more simple, eligant solutions were available. But it would silence the mob of CoL h8trs.

I'm sure we will see more "regardless of protection" in the near future but I'm not sure it should be so broodly applicable.

For the artifact you could probably go as far as "if a female ec is in play..." hard  to slot it with such a specific restriction, especially if you are not running outsiders... And I would add multi brigade "heroes" instead of characters so you are not  not restricting block options. The biggest problem is multi brigade heroes, not ECs. The Lost soul is also way too narrow to be played. Have to make a decent enough counter for people to reasonably include it in their deck, ideally good enough where players don't even have to include it.
