The Flood
0/0 Black Curse
-X=Number of cards discarded from your deck-
"Negate Healing this turn. Discard your deck, territory and set-aside area (except Lost Souls) regardless of protection to Discard up to X of opponents' cards in play or set aside regardless of protection. Cannot be Negated."

A curse because, even though it was sent by God, it was a punishment (making it a good card makes no sense). Black because the only Evil antediluvian is Black. Basically, you lose everything except what's in your hand (which, conveniently, holds the exact number of people that were on the Ark when you're defending) and wipe out your opponent's territory (and win the block if you play it as an Enhancement).  You can't weasel out of the cost by being decked because then it won't do anything.
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!

Ow.

This would actually be great against a speed deck (in a non-speed or turtle). If your opponent has decked and you know they have nothing but enhancements in their hand and you have a hero in yours, you can nuke everything they have by sacrificing all your stuff and walk in for however many more you need.
ANB is good. Change my mind.

Yeah that would be devastating against speed decks

I like it, if your sitting there with captain, strong angel, Moses, Ira or benaiah in hand it basically over even if they have and EC left in hand. Hold on to your KoT and things got even worse for them.

A potential problem would be that after using it, nothing is left in your deck but Lost Souls, so if you held a Jepthah in hand you could get a guaranteed soul snipe, but with the amount of gen in use today I don't think it's that big a deal.

I have enjoyed reading about the ideas for this card.  One question...would this card preclude the creation of a card (fortress probably) called Noah's Ark, since it would seem to be protected from the effects of The Flood?

Protect cards in Noah's Ark from The Flood regardless of regardless of protection. ::)

Noah's Ark is one of the most frequently-attempted, least successful card creations. I wouldn't mind precluding it.

I agree w/ KChief, it should exclude Noah's Ark or have Noah's Ark instead itself maybe.
They seem pretty lame as fighters maybe we should challenge them to a dance off or a redemption game
