The Canaanites

The Canaanites have been an ignored civilization up to this point, with Sisera being the only character (I believe). I'm here to fix that. I concentrated on Judges, though I know they are mentioned elsewhere. I decided that they could be Crimson, since Crimson only has one civilization at this point, but that could change.

King Adoni-Bezek
8/10 Crimson EC, WC
-Canaanite King-
Holder may capture any King in play. If a Red or Gold Warrior Class hero is in play,
holder must discard this card after battle.
Judges 1:7

Sheshai
7/7 Crimson EC, WC
-Canaanite-
Negate all special abilities on OT enhancements (except Red).
Judges 1:9

Ahiman
6/8 Crimson EC, WC
-Canaanite-
If no Red hero is in battle, all heroes in battle must withdraw. Opponent may present a new Hero.
Holder may choose to discard this card after battle to make this ability so it cannot be interrupted.
Judges 1:9

Talmai
5/9 Crimson EC, WC
-Canaanite-
If no Red hero is in battle, Lost Souls held in Red sites are protected from rescue. Discard this card if opponent
makes a successful battle challenge this turn.
Judges 1:9

King Jabin
-Canaanite King-
7/9 Crimson EC, WC
If Sisera is in play, King Jabin is protected from discard abilities on good cards.
Judges 4:2

Sisera
6/7 Crimson EC, WC
-Canaanite Commander-
If Sisera is holding a weapon and no female Hero is in battle, holder may at any time interrupt the battle and discard the weapon to return Sisera
to owner's hand.
Judges 4:17

Chariots of Iron
2/3 Crimson EE, WC
If used by a Canaanite, Evil Characters not in battle cannot be converted or discarded. Holder may search deck for
another Canaanite and place in hand or territory.
Judges 1:19

Baal Worship
2/2 Crimson EE, TC
Place in holder's territory. While there, your Canaanites gain 4/4 when blocking an OT Hero (except Red)
and are protected from conversion. Discard this card if a judge enters battle.
Judges 2:11

Canaanite Oppression
2/2 Crimson EE
No captured characters can be rescued, returned to any territory, or shuffled into draw piles this turn, unless a
judge is in play. If block is successful, this card may be placed in holder's territory, where it remains active until
discarded.
Judges 4:3

Canaanite Determination
0/0 Crimson EE
Set aside a Canaanite Evil Character. Holder's OT sites cannot be discarded or taken by an opponent while character
is set aside.
Judges 1:27

Canaanite Lands
Red Site
While this site is occupied, holder's Canaanites cannot be ignored.
Judges 1:27

I like them, especially Canaanite Determination, and I love Canaanite Lands (although shouldn't it just be Canaan?).
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!

Yeah, I suppose it could be...not sure why I didn't make it that way to begin with.

Lots of weakness to red...I personally do not like the idea of a theme being basically strong but having one or two things that just make it collapse, and I think in the long run such a goal will be unattainable anyway. However, some people think that's the best way to go, and if I were one of them I would love all these cards.

I think these cards would encourage more players to play red (which in my view, is the least played good brigade in the game).

That was kind of my goal. All the characters are very powerful for the most part, but they have serious drawbacks vs. red decks. That would make people who use them find ways to get rid of red characters if they came up. And it would make people maybe use red every so often as well.

Honestly, I think this would only make Red used less often rather than more often. First of all, nobody really builds an offense specifically to counter one other person's defense (unless they only ever play each other) because it's just not practical. Second, anyone using this as a defense would be stupid to put any Red heroes in their own deck (unless they run WoP, HHI, and lots of other anti-banding stuff) in case their opponent can band to them and then they'd end up helping kill their own defense.

I love the ideas, I just don't see it helping Red all that much.
