Elohim is the Hebrew word for God, so the person in the fire with the Hebrews was the Son of God (Jesus), at the very least the Angel of the Lord, both of which are obviously dominants. So I don't think giving this card the name Elohim will work as it's essentially saying it's God, which would make him the ultimate dominant :) Maybe this character would be better classed as some kind of protecting angel if he's to be a numbered character. Love the art and concept though.

That verse is translated badly in that translation. He definitely didn't say "he looks like the Son of God," more like "he looks like one of the spiritual beings." If you change the name to Bar-Elohim, it'd work.

All of the translations I looked at said a divine being, son of the gods, or one of the gods. Regardless, I don't think there is much debate as to wether this is talking about God/Jesus.

the real concept is to kind of 'stop time' make everything play matter most.. like everyone who witnessed this. i love this story.. i love the protection that Christ gave them in the face of the flames. it's a very powerful story, and I love that Nebuchadnezzar himself confessed it.

i also wanted to make some kind of card that works with The Second Coming and i felt like referring to a Daniel card and this moment especially is pretty cool.

What I love about the event is that three were thrown into the furnace, and four were seen inside. Logically that would mean that the fourth one was already there waiting.  ;D

I hadn't thought of that but it totally makes sense because they couldn't have lasted a second in there without Him!  ;D Even the guards who threw them in died...but they didn't even have the smell of the fire on them when they came back out!  :o

What about:

Bar-Elohim
Good Dominant
-This card is Bar-Elohim at face value-
"If played simultaneously with beginning a Rescue Attempt with Hananiah (Shadrach), Mishael (Meshach), and/or Azariah (Abednego), restrict all players from playing cards from hand."

/

Elohim
Good Dominant
-If targeted by The Second Coming, this card becomes Elohim-
"Negate and Rescue an O.T. Lost Soul."

I really like this idea, but... aren't daniel decks powerful enough without this though? :o ;)

Well, Rack, Shack and Benny are terrible choices for attacking with (particularly without Daniel himself), and it kind of balances it out by giving you a reason to include them for a single incredibly-powerful RA at the cost of 3 better Heroes and a Dom slot. You'll also typically need all 3 for it to be a cinch because Evil Banding is more popular than ever.
