Every brigade gets 10 cards. There are 10 Artifacts, 10 Lost Souls, 10 Sites, 10 Fortresses for a 190 card set with 10 slots for promos. Post what you would like to see, specific cards, general theme development, counters to certain things, etc. and I'll take that into account in the cards I'm making. If anyone would like to partner with me in making the images, I'm awful at photoshop. Images would make the expansion much more exciting.
-
can i haz ninjas?
-
Yep, it's called the Grey brigade. Look forward to 10 unconventional cards from that corner.
-
OOh... this is a cool idea Polarius. I want to see demons that "possess" humans, aka get placed on them in order to do cool stuff... I can't seem to push that idea on my own. :D
-
I'm a big fan of that idea, and there will surely be possession in the expansion. Perhaps you'd like to do the art for those as well?
-
I'd love to see some useful weapons, aside from ITB D2 P next. I got some ideas on it, but as for photoshop I am horrible.
-
I can assist with the visuals and some ideas, so long as I'm not too busy with my classes.

I would like to see...
Teal: Viable Tabernacle & Solomon's Temple heroes & enhancements, a female if possible
Green: Nothing for prophets! ...Well, maybe a little...but this brigade should get the Apostles started
Red: I'd love to see some good WC enhancements, an awesome character is needed, as well as a WC female if possible
Gold: More (low number) Judges, ways for Luke heroes to get back at demons, new Samaritans and Sam-specific enhancements, a new Kindness Card
White: Mostly new Daniel heroes and Musicians, as well as Daniel-specific and Music-specific enhancements, and maybe a daniel fortress, both of these themes should get a unifying strategy
Purple: Royalty doesn't need much, but maybe more WC...the Deacon theme could be started here, or maybe a secondary prophet theme would be fun.
Blue: Genesis heroes I think need at least one more battle-winner, as well as more hand discard. The Deacon theme might be started here...
Silver: Some kind of unity, man! Searching or something? Also, if it's possible, I'd like to see a new female, 'cause Arianna doesn't do much for me
Black: Greeks! They need more! Because of Abom, they should have a forced drawing theme I would think. Some freedom there. Sadducees need a unifying theme.
Grey: Syrians need a way to get past capture protection, Pharisees need more hand-revealing awesomeness, etc., Romans need more hand discard (this brigade needs a bit more than most others)
Gold: Herods need to get their own theme besides deck d/c, Egyptians need more deck d/c
Pale Green: Magicians should get some more demon collaboration, Assyrians need either interrupt/negate or more initiative
Brown: Persians should get some set-aside manipulation, maybe a Judean king theme should start here, and Israelites?
Crimson: New theme! Babylonians are uber-powerful, since they have no competition in this brigade
Orange: Possession sounds awesome. Orange needs a theme besides bottom-of-deck, which should also be continued
All the other cards should be tools to help these themes.
I might be able to help with the cards...
-
Despite Bubbleboy's plea, I think that since there are still some prophets who have books of the Bible that are rarely if ever used, we could use some reprints. Yes, prophets have a lot of firepower. But none of these I don't think will be staples, but just add to the variety already present
Jonah
7/5 Green Hero
-Prophet-
The first time Jonah enters battle, he is set aside for three turns. On return, he gains the ability "Convert an Evil Character to a Hero in the brigade of owner's choice. Owner may choose to discard that Evil Character at the end of current turn instead."
Jonah 1:1
Amos
6/3 Green Hero
-Prophet-
If an OT Evil Character captures or discards your Hero this turn, discard that Evil Character at the end of battle. Opponent may discard an OT Evil Fortress or occupied site from his territory instead.
Amos 1:1
Hosea
5/4 Green Hero
-Prophet-
Negate all banding abilities on Evil Characters. If blocked by an opponent's female Evil Character, Holder's next enhancement cannot be negated.
Hosea 1:2
Malachi
7/5 Green Hero
-Prophet-
Holder may discard a good card from hand to search deck for a single-color Green enhancement. Cannot be interrupted.
Malachi 1:1
Daniel
6/7 Green/White Hero
-Prophet-
Negate all Artifacts and all special abilities on enhancements played by humans. If blocked by a demon, holder may exchange Daniel with an Angel in play. Cannot be negated.
Daniel 1:6
Still need ideas for Isaiah and Zechariah Zephaniah.
-
Still need ideas for Isaiah and Zechariah.
Zechariah was just reprinted in Rock of Ages, does he really need another one?
-
Amos
6/3 Green Hero
-Prophet-
If an OT Evil Character captures or discards your Hero this turn, discard that Evil Character at the end of battle. Opponent may discard an OT Evil Fortress or occupied site instead.
Amos 1:1
I hope you mean his fort or site. Otherwise, this character would get even less play.
-
Jonah scares me! Love the rest though.

Right, I meant Zephaniah

Amos 1:1

True that. Will edit above.
Jonah scares me! Love the rest though.
Jonah can be super powerful if given time, but it does take some time to pull off, and it doesn't work vs. demons or guys that are protected from conversion. Perhaps more balance is needed, but I'm not sure what I would add.
-
i'd like to see some warrior-class demons, and some sick weapon-class enhancements to go with them.
-
If orange got WC enhancements, I would want them to have no numbers, but at the end of each one say like "Worth 3/2 against an angel." Reason being, they're more of spiritual, so it seems to me they would have more of a direct impact in angel vs demon combat.
Also, Not sure what brigade this should go in, but I just got a fun idea for a weapon.
Poisioned blade (this could easily change) - 3/2 (unless orange) WC enhancement - One hero in battle becomes poisioned, and is reduced by 2/2 every turn.
perhaps put that in brown or pale green, since those two have the strongest decrease theme?
-
i'd like to see some warrior-class demons, and some sick weapon-class enhancements to go with them.
+1
-
As long as orange doesn't get another 2Khorses weapon I'll be ok with it. I really don't like every defense using one of those for initiative.
-
With perhaps one or two exceptions, I don't foresee any rehashed SA's in this set.
-
With perhaps one or two exceptions, I don't foresee any rehashed SA's in this set.
I don't think I understand what you mean by that.
-
He means the sa will be brand new, not a 50th ITB, D2, P next.
-
Ah, I thought he meant that if he made a reprint, it would have the same SA. :P
-
I'm having trouble with White. N.T. Women is very general, and Musicians don't really have a cohesive theme. I don't want to do "Daniel Heroes" as its own theme as there are a limited number of cards that could be in it, and the ones it currently has are trash. Anyone has any ideas plz.
-
Wait so you want white NT women ideas? Or musicians? Or daniel heroes?
-

I think he doesn't like any of those themes. Musicians would be nice to build up though. we could have a card like... Moses.
-
I say more musicians than anything. I don't want to give TGT much more power, and it's a shame, but it's true that Daniel doesn't offer many hero options.
For musicians, I would try to give them a theme that resembles "lulling" the EC's. Like, an enhancement that says, "While a musician is in battle, no enhancements may be played," or something like that.
-
That'd be cool, I think musicians should be more of a jack of all trades since music is so diverse.

Maybe you could do a Psalms theme, that would be supplementary to/depend on musicians, but would contain generic characters described in the Psalms.
Here are some ideas:
Blessed Man (maybe Righteous Man?)
4/8 White Hero
-Generic, May hold one active Tables of the Law or Book of the Law
"While this hero is holding an Artifact, protect him from evil discard abilities. Hero must withdraw from battle if no musician is in play."
Psalm 1:1-2--"Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
2But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night"
Wise Rulers
8/6 White Hero
-Generic-
"If a musician is in play, all heroes not in battle are protected from evil enhancements this turn. Hero has access to any site of a brigade matching a Hero in play or set-aside area."
Psalm 2:10--"Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth."
United Brothers
3/3 White Hero
-Generic-
"If a musician is in play, holder may search deck for a generic white, male Hero and add to battle. While more than one hero is in battle, no single Hero can be targeted for discard or removal from the game."
Psalm 133:1--"Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!"
Servants of the Lord
6/4 White Hero
-Generic-
"If no musician is in play, this hero must withdraw from battle. Following a successful rescue attempt, place this hero on a good, OT Fortress. Discard all evil cards on that Fortress, and protect it from discard while this Hero remains. "
Psalm 134:1--"Behold, bless ye the LORD, all ye servants of the LORD, which by night stand in the house of the LORD."
-
I like that, adding some psalm based ENH that require generic heroes or musicians would even further solidify it.
-
You could maybe take all the apostles with horrible special abilities and make white versions of them? Seems to be in keeping with the "purity" theme of white.
-
Well white already has 3 themes. Maybe put them in purple? Being Children Of God who is the King so we're all princes?
-
yes, redo all the horrible apostles. *shakes fist at doug grey*
-
I like that, adding some psalm based ENH that require generic heroes or musicians would even further solidify it.
Indeed. I was thinking that myself, but just wanted to get heroes first (since enhancements from Psalms would be far easier).
Here's a few from one of my favorite Psalms:
Making Wise the Simple
3/1 White Enhancement
Multiply the abilities (*/*) of all musicians and Psalms heroes by two. Protect all musicians and Psalms heroes from the next Evil Enhancement played in battle. Cannot be interrupted.
Psalm 19:7--"The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple."
Sweeter than Honey
0/0 White Enhancement, TC
If used by a musician or a hero from Psalms, exchange any number of good enhancements from hand with the same number of Psalms enhancements from deck and/or discard pile.
Psalm 19:9-10--"The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether. 10More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. "
Keeping From Sin
2/2 White Enhancement, TC
"Place in holder's territory. No evil cards may be placed on holder's Musicians or Psalms heroes. If holder's Psalm hero is in battle and has initiative, holder may discard this card to interrupt the battle and discard all evil enhancements in battle.
Psalm 19:13--"Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression."
-
Keeping From Sin
2/2 White Enhancement, TC
"Place in holder's territory. No evil cards may be placed on holder's Musicians or Psalms heroes. If holder's Psalm hero is in battle and has initiative, holder may discard this card to interrupt the battle and discard all evil enhancements in battle.
Psalm 19:13--"Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression."
I love this idea. Personally, I'd love to see more cards that you can play for use later in the game, like Cov of Noah or this.
-
Levites.
-
I would also be fine with all Apostles being Purple too, giving purple another interesting option. While not "royalty", they certainly had the "Authority of Christ".
-
Authority of Peter (Purple/Red) 0/0 GE
"ITB, Discard a demon in battle. CBI if used by peter"
-
I'm wanting to put Apostles in Green, as it already has Ordained, and Green currently has nothing besides Prophets. I know Purple has nothing besides royalty, but that's not as limited to being strictly O.T.
-

If you want something for Green, you could make more Egyptian Heroes ;)
Though, that's another OT theme....

Red!!!!! put Apostles in Red!!!!!
-
Right now I think Blue and Green need the most NT help, so I say put apostles in there.
-

that's the cost of people who use those all too common colors.
-
I was trying to think of a way to make sitelock a more consistent stratgy, and I think a Lost Soul like this would be fun for not only that theme, but for many strategies:
"After each draw phase, you may search your deck for a Lost Soul and place it in your territory."
And another fun Lost Soul idea that's similar:
"When this Lost Soul is drawn, you may exchange it with another Lost Soul in your deck. Treat that lost soul as if it had been drawn."
And a site idea:
"While this site is occupied, no OT Brown humans may be discarded from territory."
-
I like the first one. It will probably be in the set.
-
I'll make these into card images.
-
I haven't heard any word on this recently; are you still working on this, Pol?

really? does Green really need somebody as powerful as Jonah? the rest are fine, but...
-
Wow, great cards. Jonah is a bit OP'ed. Give it a gold border and release it at a big tourney and everyone will be fine with it maybe...
-
At first I was like, "How is he even good...?" Then I realized he could do that every battle. Make it a one time thing and only set him aside for one turn, and I think it'd be awesome. ;D The rest are great, well done.

I personally don't think Jonah is all that overpowered. First, it takes three turns (a reference to three days in the whale/big fish) for him to gain the ability. Second, once he does get back, he has to keep surviving in order to keep using his ability: if he is returned to hand/discard/draw pile, then he has to be set aside again for another three turns. Also, he doesn't get around protect forts at all, so you'd have to come up with a different way to do that. Finally, he converts the EC to a hero in the brigade of owner's choice, not holder's choice, so even if my EC did get converted, I could still make him be useful. I definitely think it would take quite a bit of strategy to make him effective.
Also, I said this before, but my post got deleted in the crash. Those cards are awesome drb! Very nice job!

but TGT...
-
I've never seen St. Patrick being used in any TGT decks, and I think he'd be even easier to use with Golden Lampstand and ET (who is already in most TGT decks that I've played against).
Still not convinced he's anything but Biblically accurate, and strategically designed.

Saint Patty requires you to stuff in useless enhancements. and how does ET help with Patty?
-
ET helps by recurring useless enhancements (like Golden Lampstand).
-
im thinkin maybe another crimson itb battle winner. and an itb draw three play next for red. it NEEDS one of those its been overdue for a long while now.

So Swords into Plowshares, David's Music, New Priestly Order, and Habakkuk Stands Watch are useless?
All of which can easily be recurred with Micah.

Nooooo. No more duplicate cards in different brigades. Give each color something UNIQUE, not the same thing with different paint.

Lol, first of all, as I was reading this, I started thinking, "Hm, this stuff sounds pretty familiar," and then I realized that it was a quote of myself. :D For future reference, you should use the quote function when quoting someone to avoid confusion.
Secondly, I didn't ask to give every color what it doesn't have. I want each theme to be unique. I don't want every theme to have a giant store of CBN, ITB, and horses. I would like for every theme to have a female, because access to Lost Souls is something I think you can never have too much of. However, I think red should focus on WC, Luke on forced drawing, Emperors on hand discard, etc. How much more different can you get without putting each theme in a separate game?
-
ET helps by recurring useless enhancements (like Golden Lampstand).
two battles verses one. two colors verses one. two heroes to keep alive verses one.

ahh, true, true. but that still requires having a whole other color. Jonah could just be a splash in that you could B/C with, AoTL, etc.
-
Don't the enhancements have to be exactly */3 for Patty to work? If so, aren't swords into plowshares and habbakkuk stands watch 4 toughness?

doesn't it say toughness or strength? idk...

Its either or.
